Our host made us very welcome and went out of her way to make us feel at home. We were very comfortable and enjoyed the hung pictures, ornaments, decor and the courtyard garden.
Beal's Yard is a great place to stay, this is the 3rd time we have stayed here. Its cosy, comfortable, clean and has everything thing you need. It is right in the middle of Alnwick but very quiet. The owner, Alison lives next door and is very helpful, checking everything is ok.

Beals Yard was comfortable and clean. A charming accommodation full of character. The generous owner living next door was helpful but not intrusive. The accommodation is conveniently placed for local points of interest. Alnwick gardens and the Castle are within easy walking distance. We also found it a good base for travelling to surrounding areas. After a day of walking the coastline at Craster, it was great to have such a stylish apartment to return to.
Beals Yard is a lovely quiet holiday cottage in the town centre with everything you could possibly want to make your stay enjoyable. There was free goodies left by the thoughtful owner which were much appreciated. We would definitely stay there again and would not hesitate to recommend it to family and friends.
We very much enjoyed our stay at Beals Yard. The cottage is full of character and tastefully presented and Alison, the owner, was very welcoming and helpful. We liked the location, tucked away through an alleyway, with a pretty courtyard garden, but still very central to all the shops, pubs and restaurants. Parking was easier than we imagined, with overnight parking outside the property and a free car park around the corner as an alternative. Alnwick was a good base to explore the the area with its beautiful beaches and countryside.

Beal's Yard provides ideal accommodation for two people and a dog in a perfect location. Slapbang in the centre of Alnwick, it is perfectly situated for the Northumberland coast, countryside, and of course all the history that the area has to offer. It is a cosy duplex flat with ensuite bedroom downstairs and the living area above. The lounge is very comfortable, but the kitchen area is small, but fine for simple meal preparation. With many eateries just a short walk away, this was never a problem anyway. There is even a tiny outdoor space in the enclosed yard for those warm evenings, and a coat of paint to the tables and chairs would make it even more welcoming! Alison was an excellent and generous host who was always available for recommendations and advice on parking etc.
We had a great week at Beals Yard, good location near everything but hidden away. Alison our host was lovely, thank you Alison for our welcome gifts. Hopefully we will return

The property was lovely a peaceful, comfortable property, a world away from the bustle of the High Street, yet only a 30 second walk to the Main Street, hidden behind a secret door! Because we are lazy, I would have liked a dishwasher, but other than that it was well equipped, although a small kitchen, with limited storage. The property is perfectly located for accessing the main street of Alnwick, for the shops, pubs & restaurants etc. Parking required attention it is free in and around the area, but we needed to move the car regularly if we didnt go out for the day. We had a couple of lovely walks directly from the house, and Alnwick is perfectly situated for exploring the Northumberland area. Owner lives next door so any issues you can ask. We would recommend it!

Comfortable, clean property ideally situated for exploring Alnwick & the local area. Any issues we had were efficiently addressed by Alison the owner. Would thoroughly recommend.
The shared courtyard in front of the property was very nice. Inside the property was quirky and clean. I would recommend people use earbuds to sleep as the metal bed is noisy and the attached living accommodation is above the bedroom meaning every footstep could be heard. The living room is comfortable and the kitchen has the basics. There is a door which separates Beal's Yard living room with Alison's living room next door. Unfortunately the door is so thin you can hear every word on the other side, so privacy for both parties is an issue. Alison is lovely though and for this reason I give a 4 star review.
This is a great holiday home. Perfect for a couple. In a quiet location tucked away in the centre of Alnwick. We had everything we needed. Great shower and comfortable bed. Highly recommend!

The cottage is in a great location within walking distance to shops, restaurants and bars and situated in a beautiful secluded, quiet courtyard full of mature plants and shrubs. The cottage itself is small but cosy and comfortable, well appointed and clean. There was a generous welcome pack which was very much appreciated and the owner was very friendly and approachable, and if we needed help we were just to ask, however not necessary. I would definitely recommend this cottage for a couple or someone on their own,

Very pleased with our accommodation which was clean, comfortable and was equipped with everything we needed and required for our stay. A nice quiet and secluded spot in the heart of the town with access to parking close by which was a good feature to have. No complaints at all and we would recommend this to people we know. Brilliant cottage! Cosy, characterful, clean. Equipped with all we could need and more, including attention to lots of little details. And of course the welcome hamper! Above and beyond with fresh bread, scones, wine etc., etc. Oh, and fresh flowers! Alison was welcoming and available but not intrusive. Cottage is conveniently in the centre of town, but secluded and quiet in it's pretty courtyard.

Beals Yard is a secluded cottage in the centre of Alnwick and steeped in history, which was exactly what we wanted for our visit. The cottage is private, cosy, warm and comfortable and thoughtful touches such as a welcome hamper and a comprehensive guide to the local area with recommendations of how we could spend our time. We really enjoyed spending time in the cottage and would recommend Beals Yard to anyone who wants to use Alnwick as a base if exploring Northumberland.
We had a lovely stay in this beautiful little cottage. It was very warm, clean, comfortable and tastefully decorated. Everything needed was there and the owner kindly provided us with a welcome pack for us and our dog as well as other little extras. Clearly a lot of thought has gone into this rental.

Beals Yard is a very lovely bit of secluded sanctuary and a wonderful peace of history. My family are from Alnwick so I have come for holidays all my life. Staying at Beals yard was fantastic as it had family connections, so amazing to be able to stay here. I couldn't think of anywhere better to stay if travelling by yourself or a couple. Alison was amazing, a fantastic host and couldn't do enough and the welcome hamper was very much appreciated. Beals yard is a great location, central to everything in Alnwick and great base to explore beautiful Northumberland. It has everything you could need. Thank you Alison again!
Our second stay in 2023, again lovely location in Alnwick for all facilities cottage welcome pack for us and the dog was very good . Cottage was cosy and owner couldn't be more helpful.
Fabulously quiet and extremely comfortable stay. Amazing welcome pack for ourselves and one for our dog! Alison is a great host and very helpful too. Situated in a great spot in centre of Alnwick and easy access to the rest of Northumberland. Only thing that could be improved on are the directions for the free parking, which is literally tucked away around the corner but the lovely friendly people of Alnwick pointed us in the right direction. A hidden gem. A beautiful cottage in lovely surroundings hidden away in the centre of Alnwick. The owner was very welcoming and gave us lots of useful information to get the most of our stay. The cottage was very clean, comfortable, tastefully decorated and felt like a real home. Fabulous area with lots to see and do. Lots of dog friendly places to eat and visit. Ideal for a couple and a dog. There were so many good places to eat and takeaways on the doorstep that we did not feel the need to cook. One of the best cottages we have stayed in. This beautiful cottage is perfectly placed for exporing all Alnwick has to offer. Short walk to the castle, gardens and fabulous Barters Books. The cottage itself is lovely, clean, well equipped, stylish and extremely comfortable, a real find. Lovely ,comfortable property perfect for the 2 of us plus our dog. Centrally located so very convenient . Was slightly concerned about the parking arrangements but that didnt prove to be a problem. Alison was a lovely generous host. We hope to return sometime.

A beautiful clean and comfortable cottage ideal for a couple and a pooch. The kitchen is only small giving you the ideal excuse to try all of the wonderful pubs, restaurants and takeaways but you can cook meals if you wish. The cottage is a little hidden treasure slap bang in the middle of the main road of Alnwick yet so peaceful. We enjoyed our stay so much we are looking to book again next year.
