We have stayed in some lovely cottages over the years but The Granary, Powburn has been the best so far. Such a beautiful location and stocked with absolutely everything you could need. We walked into the cottage and were stunned by the beautiful views from every window. The cottage is so comfortable to come back to after a lovely day out exploring the area. Would highly recommend this cottage.

We had a lovely week at the Granary which had everything we could ask for. It has a beautiful view of the countryside with very nice patio area and nice dog walking area too. Its difficult to find any fault tbh except that the grill pan has no handle. Thats the only thing I could think of! We would recommend this cottage to anyone wanting a nice quiet break. Five stars!

We have used Sykes Cottages on a number of occasions in the past but our stay at The Granary Breamish park estate surpassed all previous experiences. The accommodation was roomy extremely comfortable and pictures did not do it justice.. oh! and I didnt mention the view which is fantastic. If we return to Northumberland we will plan our stay around the availability of this property

Beautiful bungalow with fantastic views. Spotlessly clean and well equipped with everything needed and more. Garden is lovely and very peaceful location. Excellent location for visiting towns and beaches. Would definitely recommend and hope to stay again

The Granary was spotless and on entering the lounge the view out the picture window was something you could sit and look at all day. The accommodation was excellent with everything you needed and more. The Granary is in a dark sky area and there is an astronomical telescope for stargazing. Theres also binoculars for looking south across the valley. Our only criticism would be that the bedroom curtains dont have blackout curtains and the windows of this room face east so get the morning sun which lights up the bedroom. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

We had the most lovely stay at the Granary, absolutely everything you needed and more. We sat in the sun room almost all the time, looking out over the fields and hills. Waking up in the morning to the tranquil view was so peaceful. A beautiful cottage in beautiful surroundings. Great area for walking, and exploring. Would love to come again.

Fabulous week at the Granary . It's a beautiful place. The bed was very comfortable and the house had everything that we could possibly need. The views are wonderful and so much wildlife to see. It's in a good spot to travel around Northumberland and into Scotland , if you don't mind a drive. One of the nicest cottages we've stayed at in any part of the UK.

We have stayed in many sykes property's and the granary at powburn is the best yet .warm .comfortable .very well laid out spotlessly clean.thought ful touches like night viewing telescope for moon watching .easy to find and the location is stunning .nicely decorated for Xmas and a nice welcome pack.

Wow! The Granary is absolutely beautiful! Spotlessly clean, comfortable, so well equipped, absolutely everything you could need and more. The views were stunning too looking over the hills and all the sheep grazing. The plough Inn and the Running Fox cafe are a must to visit, would love to return.
