The Old Gardeners Reviews

Josephine
We loved the cottage - it felt more like a home than a holiday let and the location is great.
Anne-Marie
A fabulous cottage for many reasons. The location is ideal, a fifteen minute walk along safe paths into Craster ( excellent food at The Jolly Fisherman). From there you can join the coastal paths for wonderful walks in either direction. The Arches and Eleanor's Byre for cake, coffee and gifts. Not forgetting the woodfire pizza! The cottage was warm, comfortable and really clean. Plenty of wood for the woodburner for cosy evenings. The large family bathroom and ensuite were lovely. Kitchen had everything you needed and an excellent welcome pack awaits your arrival. We just needed to briefly communicate with owner Anne and she was quick to reply, helpful and friendly. We hope to return next year.
Helen
A beautiful location and easily accessible to coastal walks. Cottage was very well equipped and spotlessly clean. Good pubs nearby for food. Four days was not long enough.
Carol
Really enjoyed our stay. The cottage is beautiful with large rooms and lots of light. Really appreciated the seating areas in the conservatory and small porch. The (gravel) garden is quite small but secure to let the dogs out and there is a footpath directly from the garden out towards the countryside (dogs on leads due to livestock). The local pub is a stone's throw away, does good food and we didnâ??t hear any noise at all from the property. They also let us park our second car in their car park. The local area is quiet and absolutely beautiful but there are lots of amenities within a short distance. Would definitely come back!
Polly

Penny

Great cottage in a peaceful location, perfect for walking to the beach with the dogs & short drives to visit other places.
Alison
We had a lovely stay, great access to the costal path and craster. Such a peaceful village, the Cottage Inn is really handy and does takeaway pizza too. Was a great base to explore lots of northumbria.
Andrea
Old Gardener's Cottage is a superb place to stay. Really nicely furnished and decorated and in a brilliant location. Enjoyed the sunny conservatory. Short walk to the coast and Craster, pub on doorstep and garden centre cafe not far away. Couldn't ask for much more.
Jan
I would rate this as a 3 star property - not 4. Itâ??s fairly basic with some nice touches.
