The property was clean, spacious. well equipped and very comfortable. The location was ideal for visiting several attractions such as Alnwick Gardens and Dunstanborough Castle and only a stones throw from a very nice pub restaurant. We would definitely recommend this property to anybody visiting the area.

A lovely roomy, clean property with everything we needed. We were made very welcome when we arrived. It is very convenient for visiting the local area.
A last minute booking led to a good stay at Smithy Court in Dunstan. The house was clean, comfortable and warm, which was important as we had snow. A good base to walk from the house to the coast.

A great base for exploring the Northumberland coast. House is cosy and wellequipped, very clean. Perfect for a family holiday.

The cottage is in a perfect position one of the best we have stayed in. Lots of walking straight from the door and two good pubs very close so no need to drive. Lovely and quiet at night and a few buses during the day we went to Beadnell and then walked back via the coast path. Jan was lovely when she showed us around and the cottage is well equipped. My only slightly negative comment would be that the cottage is a little worn. There are a few things that could do with being replaced eg the metal towel rail and shelf in the ensuite, refurbished eg the paint work on the utility door and the seal and grout on the ensuite shower or repaired eg the front and patio doors let in quite a draft. These are the only things that stop me giving it a 55 and hopefully they are easily addressed.

2 Smithy Court is lovely, it has a real homely feel, very well equipped and clean. We were met by the owner who was very welcoming. We would definitely return, one of our favourites

The house was very clean and comfortable. It was well equipped with all the essentials, including plenty of spares, and there was lots of info about local facilities. It was a good location for exploring Northumberland. Top notch accommodation.
Smithy Court is a very well equipped property, with modern amenities, maintained to a high standard. It is in an attractive quiet location, but convenient for coast and inland attractions.
The beds were comfortable and the bathroom space was good. Comfortable living room and good dining room with hatch to transfer food etc. easily from kitchen. Handy utility room and downstairs toilet. Handy that the Cottage Inn was so close for an evening meal or a drink. The general area had lots of places to visit and we enjoyed the holiday.

It was everything that it said it would be, provided an excellent base for visiting the many local attractions.

Comfortable and well equipped, all we needed.
This property has everything you could want. Lovely size and we had a fabulous week exploring the beautiful surroundings.
The owner, Jan met us on arrival and showed us around and also left us a phone number in case of any problems. The house was clean, comfortable and well equipped and provided an excellent base for our holiday in Northumberland. We ate twice at the local pub, The Cottage Inn, good food at good prices and a friendly staff.

This is our 2nd stay at Smithy Court and probably not our last! Lovely comfy cottage, with a lot of thought to holiday makers needs, Honestly couldn't fault it.

The downstairs rooms are smaller than portrayed in the photos. The photo of the garden is misleading as there is a driveway between the rear of the property and the actual garden, which offers very little privacy. The pillows in the main bedroom were very poor and there were no pillow protectors. Otherwise, the house was well equipped and clean. The house is in a good location for exploring the coast and surrounding countryside.

A lovely location for us all locations we wanted to visit were on the ... A lovely location for us all locations we wanted to visit were on the doorstep An excellent property for a couple or a family Plenty of walks on public footpaths close to hand and lovely pubs
A large and comfortable house close to the coastal Craster and surrounded by wooded countryside. Well furnished with everything you may need for a stay. Light and airy with excellent heating in cooler times. Situated in the small Dunstan village, it is convenient for walking or driving to explore the North East coast with pubs, restaurants and stores all close by.

Lovely place to stay, well maintained and comfortable

Home from home, a lovely comfortable cottage
Jan, the owner, couldnt have done any more for us. She was communicative throughout the build up to us arriving, met us at the property and was always available for any queries. The house was very clean, well equipped and very comfortable. I would have no hesitation in recommending the property.

As this was our 5th trip to Smithy Court finding Jan there to welcome us made it feel like we were home again. The property is so close to beaches and attractions we love to visit and the grandchildren love to come every time. The space in the property meets all our needs and we just love it. See you next year.
The property was lovely and well placed for sightseeing. The only problem we had was that we had a number of power cuts , the fault of Northern Power Grid , not the fault of the owners.

A beautiful comfortable cottage with everything you could possibly need inside. If you have children, they are more than catered for with toys, games and books for rainy days. Perfectly situated in the small country village of Dunstan and yet the sea and beach under a mile away, best of both worlds, plus a local pub 100 yards away complete with small play area outside for the kids, serving tasty meals if you fancy a night off cooking! 10 out of 10 from me, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend
Alison
Such a lovely cottage with everything you could possibly need. Clean and well presented. Great location to walk into craster and then onto dunstanburgh castle. Near Alnwick for shops. Garden perfect for our 6 year old to burn off some energy. Will definitely return in the future. Thank you!
Rebecca
Really beautifully kept and well equipped, with an owner kind enough to show us round on arrival. Loved the rainy day board games! Thank you for a lovely place to stay
A fantastic holiday house. Well equipped, cosy, immaculately clean and spacious. We all loved it two adults and 4 children and didn&39t want to leave. Jan the owner was very friendly and helpful. Will definitely be back.
The owner met us and introduced us to our beautiful home for the week. There was a lovely welcome gift pack & the property had all the home comforts we needed.
This is a lovely cottage in a quiet area. We have visited on about 8 occasions now so I think that says a lot about how much we love it. It has a lovely feel to it and has everything you could wish for in a holiday cottage.
Extremely comfortable and well equipped cottage. Owner met us on arrival and provided a welcome pack which was much appreciated. Would definitely stay here again.
Excellent property in a great location, close to major roads and the coast.
We have visited this property several times and love the relaxed feel. It is one of our favourite cottages and we have made several visits to it. It is well equipped, comfortable and ideally located.
Smithy Court is a lovely cosy and wellequipped homefromhome cottage. A great base from which to explore Northumberland. We had a truly fabulous holiday here.
Lovely house, wellappointed, high quality furnishings, would recommend this highly!
