Shepherds Nook is a 19th-century stone cottage in Northumberland, sitting within a few miles of the Heritage Coast. It has beamed ceilings, an inglenook fireplace with a woodburning stove and is decorated and furnished to a good standard throughout. No hot tub here but there's plenty else to love.

You're in the Cheviot foothills with the National Park a short drive away. Embleton Bay, Low Newton by the Sea and Beadnell Bay are all within easy reach. Alnwick Castle, Lindisfarne and the Scottish Borders are all doable as day trips. Challenging links golf courses are close by too.

The cottage sleeps up to 5 guests across three bedrooms two double rooms and one room with adult bunk beds.

Shepherds Nook is a 19th-century stone cottage in Northumberland, sitting within a few miles of the Heritage Coast. It has beamed ceilings, an inglenook fireplace with a woodburning stove and is decorated and furnished to a good standard throughout. No hot tub here but there's plenty else to love.

You're in the Cheviot foothills with the National Park a short drive away. Embleton Bay, Low Newton by the Sea and Beadnell Bay are all within easy reach. Alnwick Castle, Lindisfarne and the Scottish Borders are all doable as day trips. Challenging links golf courses are close by too.

The cottage sleeps up to 5 guests across three bedrooms two double rooms and one room with adult bunk beds. There's one contemporary bathroom on the first floor with a bath, shower over bath, basin and WC. The open-plan sitting and dining room is spacious and well laid out.

Alnwick Castle (12 miles / 25 mins), Lindisfarne Holy Island (18 miles / 35 mins), Dunstanburgh Castle (4 miles / 10 mins) and Farne Islands boat trips from Seahouses (6 miles / 12 mins) are all excellent days out.

Shepherds Nook suits families or small groups wanting a proper Northumberland base. Enclosed rear courtyard with patio furniture and a BBQ plus off-road parking for two cars makes it practical and comfortable.
