Our first stay at Schooner 1 which we found was excellent. The flat was clean, well equipped and comfortable.No problem parking in reserved bay. After 14 nights we could not find anything to criticise and hope to return next year. Bob
Cosy first floor dog friendly appartment. Good kitchen with plenty of kit as we dined in most nights. Lovely comfy beds with good bedding. Spotless bathrooms. Nice layout and balcony to see the Aln estuary. Great location and two minute walk to the beach. I will be looking to book again next year.
The property is in lovely condition and very comfortable and well equipped. The location is 100 yds from the estuarybeach and village centre and close to the park although not close enough to be disturbed by play!. The balcony gets the sunset through the trees and has partial views of the estuary with its sounds of wading birds. The village has a good village shop and a number of good pubs and eateries. The beach is lovely at all times of day for walks and games. We loved the piece of the location even in the school holidays and we have our own child it felt quiet, especially in the evenings. We would definitely visit again, both the village and the accommodation. Handy tip the railway station has trains to Edinburgh taking just over an hour. With some forward planning we paid 10 each return to go for the day.

This was our second stay at Schooner Court. Plenty of space for 2 adults and 2 children. The layout of the accomodation works well for us and facilities are good. Perfect location. Quiet and with easy access to beach and Alnmouth. Can swifyly get to A1 for exploring further afield. Allocated parking is a big plus in Alnmouth. Beds and duvets really comfy.
Cold have been more coat hangers, and the views described were a bit exaggerated, however the location was great with the advantage of private parking. The cottage was light and airy , a well stocked kitchen and comfy beds and sofas, would definitely stay again.

A clean and comfortable holiday cottage that is well equipped and provided with thoughtful extras. Off street parking in Alnmouth is an additional bonus. I managed to lose the key one evening and both owner & the letting company were extremely helpful.
It was a great location, very welcoming to come back to. Clean and well maintained. The welcome pack was well received and the voucher for the local pubeatery was a lovely gesture and we enjoyed a lovely meal there. The building work seems to have stopped so it would be interesting to know when this will completed. Having your own parking space was a definite bonus as the parking in Alnmouth is at a premium.
Alnmouth is set in a stunning location, and a place we return to year after year. Situated in a central position, with dedicated parking, Schooner Court provides exceptional quality accommodation that is both wellequipped and presented to a very high standard. We have stayed at Schooner Court No 1 on more than one occasion and the experience each time means we have no hesitation in highly recommending it to others. We will certainly be rebooking ourselves when visiting Alnmouth again.

The only downside of the holiday was the building works opposite and the state of the balcony overlooking the building site. The fake grass on the balcony was covered in moss balls and other rubbish and the chairs and tables were very scruffy, but facing the building site there was no temptation to sit out there. We appreciate that the building site opposite is not your direct responsibility but on windy days we had to clear loads of builders rubbish from around our car and had to remove rubbish before we could park in our allocated spot. It was clear that the builder or developer had run out of funds and that the site was closed down, so the problem is likely to persist for some considerable time.

1Schooner Court was very well furnished and fitted out with all matching furniture and joinery to a high standard. As stated in the property info the construction works being carried out are a bit unsightly at the moment but did not disturb us at all. If nitpicking I think some new cushions on the couches would match the high standard of the other furnishings.
Betty the dog and I have just had a very comfortable week in Schooner Court No 1. It had everything you could possible need and was of a high standard. Yes, the building work was going on but I can't say it bothered me over much as I was out much of the day and they seemed to finish about 4 pm anyway and did not work at the weekend. It did not really detract from my stay. The apartment is very close to Alnmouth's beautiful beach, shops, cafes and coastal path from which we went on many lovely walks. I can highly recommend this property and location and would not hesitate to return.

Good modern property. Well equipped and located. Parking space a plus. Weve stayed here a couple of times and would look to again but concerns over the hosting company increased booking fees.

Cleanliness could be improved, blinds, sofas and mats need cleaning as well as behind bedside cabinets beds full of dust. Noise from builders was far more than we had been advised, with it staring every day at 8am and even 7am on the Saturday, no chance of a lie in. Marketed as sea views which isnt technically correct as its estuary views which are obscured by the building work other properties.
We have visited Alnmouth for over 30 years. It is an ideal place from which to explore the many delights of Northumberland with its spectacular countryside, beautiful beaches and historical sites. There are good places to eat nearby, some good pubs and all are dog friendly. During our visits, we have stayed at a wide variety of properties in Alnmouth, but none have been better than Schooner Court. We had the the upstairs accommodation, which lived up to its online description and photos. We can highly recommend Schooner Court and intend to book a return there in 2024. At the moment there is some building work taking place opposite the property, but we had notification of this beforehand and we found it did not detract from our time there. This work we are told, will be fully completed in October and should if anything, make it more appealing to visitors in future.
