What a lovely cottage to stay in. Very welcoming as soon as you went through the door. Warm and cosy. The owners Holly and Grant were on hand for any information and anything you wanted. The cottage is extremely well equipped I cannot think of anything you could want that wasnt there. The large tv was great and it had sky streaming which was great because at home we were thinking of having it and it gave us the opportunity to try it out. The welcome pack!!! Well what can I say it was brilliant kept us going for at least 3 days Thankyou so much was truly welcome. We purchased some hand made cards that Holly makes herself which are lovely and all the things she makes gives the cottage the homely feel. The cottage is a credit to them and even though it is next to the house you never felt as though they were there. Thankyou so much for our stay and we will be back.

Our cottage was lovely, it was very clean ,comfortable and well equipped. Good rural location just outside Alnwick.Holly the owner was very welcoming and helpful. While we rated the cottage highly Northumbrian Cottages were very poor their customer service has a lot to be desired.Its impossible to speak to someone on their phone line .There website is like going down a rabbit hole. It was only when we had the owners number could I get my issue resolved. Where as their Yorkshire Cottages counterpart answer has excellent customer service.

Mossyford Cottage is the hidden gem of the Northumberland Moors. The setting is spectacularly beautiful with ongoing views of fields and wildlife. The garden is pristine with so many features and choices of places to sit, relax, enjoy a bottle of wine and take in the surroundings. The cottage is finished to an extremely high degree. There are so many features included, from a vast choice of crockery, choices of games to play, Holly's craft work to appreciate and some items to purchase, an exceptional bathroom mirror and a wonderfully powerful shower to the dark star studded skies that can be enjoyed while you lay in bed. Holly and Grant are wonderful hosts and special people. Holly has perfectly mastered the balance of being available while leaving you to enjoy and relax into your holiday. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Mossyford Cottage. The hosts Holly and Grant went all out to make our stay comfortable and wanting for nothing. We were welcomed with a big basket of goodies for our stay and our dog Ralphie also got a treats goodie bag. The weather was changeable but that gave us chance to stay home a couple of nights and enjoy the facilities. The large TV had Netflix, Prime and 3D films to watch if wanted. Everything about the cottage and it's surroundings were beautiful. People everywhere we visited were so friendly and welcoming. Thank you to Holly and Grant Carole John and Ralphie

We had a fabulous stay at Mossyford Cottage. The accommodation was comfortable and larger than it appears in the photographs. A well equipped kitchen, with the addition of a very filling welcome pack, the relaxing lounge and bedroom were a real pleasure to return to each day. Although you feel as if you're in the middle of nowhere, it cannot be emphasised enough how easy it is to get to the local attractions like Alnwick, Bamburgh and the outstanding Cragside. When we're next visiting the area, without hesitation, this is the place we will be staying.

This us a perfect place to stay. Alnwick with its amenities and attractions is 5mns drive away, Cragside probably the best NT property to visit in the country, 15mns drive the other way. The cottage is on the edge of Alnwick Moor so quiet, peaceful and in endless countryside. Holly, the owner is in the house across the yard. She is a lovely caring and kind lady who just wants you to enjoy yourselves and leaves you alone but if you need help or advice she is always available. The cottage is built of local stone and has everything and more that you would ever need. Modern coffee maker, huge fridge freezer, well equipped kitchen, washing machine, comfy sofa, huge TV with Internet services, very comfy bed and bathshower bathroom. It's spotlessly clean and perfect fir 2 people.

A great weeks holiday home. Everything we could have wished for,and a lovely position to visit this part of the country.

Mossyford Cottage is a well equipped and very relaxing holiday retreat in beautiful Northumbrian countryside. The owners are just brilliant, very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. We had absolutely everything provided for us, its about the best equipped self catering accommodation weve stayed in over many years. The welcome hamper was just great and saw us through our first night. We would highly recommend for anyone wanting a peaceful and relaxing holiday, though there are plenty of places to visit too.

Quiet and cosy hollie and her are husband are next door but are never obtrusive but are there for any problems. The cottage has every thing you can think of in it. The food hamper is great touch . every thing is provided down to towels for your dog. Never cold we were there in February The area is fabulous alnwick and Alnmouth just a few miles away. We had a lovely stay here. A perfect, quiet base to explore the area. The host, who lives next door, was welcoming and unobtrusive. Indeed we were glad of her being next door when we had a problem with our vehicle and needed some local knowledge to get things sorted. All in all a warm, clean, quiet spot, with lovely views. We would definitely recommend a stay here. We plan to go back next year.

How is it possible to beat perfection? This cottage is probably the best of all we have ever stayed in. Holly and Grant are brilliant hosts nothing is too much for them. The cottage is so homely with beautifully decorated rooms. There are many superb examples of Holly's skill in all aspects of crafting which adds to the charm of the cottage. There is nothing that is excluded from the equipment in the cottage. Everything has been thought of to ensure the holiday was so enjoyable. It was very difficult to say goodbye to this property, however we look forward to returning if and when there is a vacancy.

Mossyford cottage was the best selfcontained accommodation I've stayed in, the appliances all worked, the house was nicely furnished and felt like a proper home. Having a fullsized freezer and fridge was excellent and not so common in holiday lets, I've found. It is a gem, and Holly is a delight. I hope to return. Special shout out for the local produce welcome hamper, this really is the way holiday homes should be operated.

Lovely cottage with everything we could possibly need. The extras such as the excellent welcome hamper and washing pods, tea and coffee were a nice surprise. We also appreciated the decoration especially the home crafts. There were instructions for everything except the heating and although we managed to sort this, instructions would have been helpful. Great location for visiting Alnwick, the coast and inland. We would definitely stay again and recommend.
