Firstclass accommodation. Beautiful views. Great swimming pool. Easy parking. Maybe a couple of side tables in the lounge to put cups of coffee on would help. The 4digit code on the gate to the village was different from the 5digit code in the welcome folder in the property had to climb over the gate. Good job 70yearold Granny does yoga!.
This must be our 4th stay at Mill View. We like the comfort, location, its position on the site and the restful nature of the surrounding area. We'll be back again.
Had a brilliant stay at Mill View, it was immaculately clean. A lot of thought had obviously been put into the apartment as it had everything in it that was needed for our stay there. The swimming pool again immaculately clean is a massive plus especially as you have it all to yourself. The staff that we met were very helpful and pleasant, a special mention to the guy who looks after the pool and the cleaner who we met on our last day.

Absolutley love it here. We stayed in Mill View this time, amazing elevated views of the sea, really clean and comfortable appartment. Nice walks down to the beach and easy drives to things worth seeing nearby. Having private use of the pool is great too, although I wouldn't be averse to sharing with small numbers of other people if it meant getting a longer timeslot. One recomendation from me is that with this place being in an area that is fantastic for cycling, offering indoor storage facilities for bikes would make life easier for cycling families like us. Thanks for a lovely stay, we'll be back!

Beautifully appointed accommodation and ideally placed for easy access to the Coastal Path abd the facilities in Embleton village!
Second time staying at North Farm Cottages, both times in the apartments with balcony. Very comfortable and warm we stayed in October and lovely views. Very well equipped, plus a lovely welcome pack of essentials. Our thanks to all concerned.

Having stayed at North Farm previously in a bungalow with hot tub, Mill View feels somewhat of a let down. Its a small apartment functional, everything you need for a short break but not spacious at all. The dining table felt small with just the three of us using it. The king size bed mattress is incredibly firm I woke feeling very achy, my husband has spinal stenosis and didnt sleep well at all. Bedroom curtains are just single layer so come 4.45am it was day light in the room ok if youre not a light sleeper. Being an apartment there was a lot of noise from the neighbours above and with an autistic child this was an issue. Saturday morning we were woken at 6.15am by a horrendous noise possibly an industrial generator I literally jumped out bed as wasnt expecting it maybe something to do with the pool? Also people coming and going into the swimming pool having to leave their shoes in the entrance hall made the place feel cluttered. I felt safer in the bungalow at our previous stay knowing no one was able to just come and go from our property. Positives welcome pack tea, coffee, milk, bread, orange juice, butter all appreciated. Also there was washing up liquid, kitchen roll, cling film, kitchen roll & tin foil these are all extras that you dont typically get when staying at a self catering accommodation. Negatives upstairs apartment, small living area, noisy, need better curtains.

Fantastic stay amazing views great balcony. Swimming pool amazing and great system so you get it to yourself your party for 45 min sessions. Works well. Farne Islands, lindisfarne, Alnwick castle, Alnwick gardens all great and within a good drive away plus an AMAZING beach about a 30 min walk away. Great beer garden and farm shop in the local Embleton. We will be back!
Excellent place. Highly recommend.

We stayed here over the Christmas break and really enjoyed our stay. The apartment is generous in size and has wonderful views. It is really clean and comfortable too. We really appreciated the small details that the host provided us with to ensure that we had a great start to our holidays.

We had a fabulous 3 night stay at Mill View at the end of October . What a super property with great views , excellent accommodation that was value for money especially with the pool options too . Would definitely recommend and we will definitely be returning when we can ! Keep up the great work Robert & Claire

The property was spotlessly clean and comfortable, it had everything we needed and the EV charging was a big plus. Loved the footpaths from the property all the way to the beach. The only negative was that the walls of the flat were very thin we could hear every word from the TV of the adjoining flat when they put it on in the evening and people walking around in the flat upstairs.
Caroline
Disappointed to have a constant humming noise in the apartment 247 due to the pool pump below. Nothing in the description stating that this would be the case and we were told by the owner that it could not be switched off. The pool showers were leaking and poorly maintained. Most importantly, the hot water, both in the apartment and the pool showers were hot enough to scald someone. Cutlery was very cheap and horrible to use!
Very well appointed property, very clean everything provided on site. Swimming pool a very good addition to the property very nice views from the property, people where very nice. The owners have provided a very good way of visiting the village of Embleton and the sea side by using there pathways around the property. My brother lives on Dunstan Steads and this was the purpose of our visit . I would like to thank the owner and his family they have a very nice place to live.

Perfect little apartment with the most amazing views. We were lucky enough to get sunny weather which meant we could sit out on the terrace enjoying the views of the sea. The accommodation had everything we could possible need with the added bonus of a sparklingly clean pool. I also loved the mown track through the fields towards the sea. We hope to be back in the future.
Excellent, very comfortable. Fantastic views of the sea from the balcony. And the pool was an extra treat.
The property and view from the balcony was fabulous as was the swimming pool. As there were two couples staying, a mirror in the second bedroom would have been nice.
Our 4th stay at Mill View and it was as good as ever.
Mill view s situated in a nice quiet location. Its close to three pubs, which are all super friendly and welcoming. The apartment was clean tidy and modern enough and has a lovely balcony overlooking the sea, which isnt too far away to walk. We sadly tried to walk it with a pram and that was a little challenging given the soggy ground. We stopped near Bamburgh last time we visited and Im torn between the two as they are equally as nice.
Jennifer
Great stay. Views are stunning. Family of 4 2 teenagers. Loved the pool and being able to book a slot each day. Accommodation had everything we needed. Will absolutely return.
What a fantastic apartment. The view was great the apartment lovely. The facilities ie pool wonderful. Nice walk from property to the sea. It was perfect in every way.
Perfect stay, we loved the pool . weather was great.
Veronica
Perfect setting, beautifully maintained. Loved the huge veranda for just relaxing and enjoying the amazing view. The pool immaculate and hourly slots worked a treat. We all used the facilities of the beautician and hairdresser too, a great plus for the site. The mown pathways to beach and shops a real bonus. A washing machine would have been beneficial. Understandable why people rebook year on year
William
We would be happy to return to this accommodation again.
We had a great stay in Mill View. The views were spectacular, the flat was extremely comfortable and well equipped. The swimming pool was an added bonus that the kids loved.
If can manage the stairs to the apartment, it is a beautiful space. The bed is huge and comfortable. The views out across fields of golden oil seed to the sea was a bonus in Spring. It has a large balcony with chairs and table and magnificent raised views again. Timed access to the swimming pool worked well for us and it is clean, spacious and with views out over to the fields. We loved it could have lived here permanently! Other friends had booked cottages in the complex, so meeting up was easy.
Excellent location & first class facilities. Staff on site very helpful, in particular the manager Nicola.
This was our third visit to Mill View and were already planning our next one. We like the quality and atmosphere of the wellmanaged accommodation, the views from the property and the walking opportunities from the front door.

Accomodation offers great value for money. The location and facilities are perfect for us and we will return next year.
We, three sisters in their 70s and 80s, really enjoyed our holiday in Mill View. The walks available straight from the door are wonderful and we did indeed walk 3 4 miles everyday. The apartment is listed as a Luxury apartment but one or two thing make it fall below that standard. The cutlery is a very poor standard as well as the place mats but what was really poor and inconvenient was the twin bedroom. The one small wardrobe was practically inaccessible to to the person in the bed under the coved ceiling. It had no bedside table or light available and was obscuring the wall plugs. All three of us felt that the quality of the bedding and, especially the pillows, could not be classed as luxury. The comment on cleanliness refers to the fact that the top of the shower head was covered in dust and the base of the bedside lights were needing a good clean. We moved one bedside table from the double room for use in the twin room and found that the carpet under it need to be hoovered. Mirrors would be useful too. The view from the apartment, however is wonderful as is the Balcony which we were able to make full use of. The acid test is, would we return? Yes, I think we would, but remove the word Luxury from your listings.
We very much enjoyed our stay. Just a couple of minor things would have made it 5 star all the way. There was no tea towel and only two of the guests had full sized towels. Salt and pepper would have been good as it's not the sort of thing one thinks to bring. Apart than that we were highly satisfied and we loved the location.

Think a heater would be nice on the balcony as there is no sun later on in the day and its nice to sit out with the view I also think if they tidied up the wiring on the tv and bought nicer crockery and cutlery etc it woul really fulfill its 5 star rating
A fabulous place, this was our 2nd yr. A suggestion for the kitchen a pair of tongs to make getting food out of a frying pan easier.
Mill View and North Farm are great. The private paths through the farm to Embleton and the beach make those journeys shorter, safer and easy for families. Our kids loved playing on the field with the goalposts and feeding the ducks at the pond. Knowing Mill View was an apartment I'd been worried about our kids running about and disturbing our neighbours on the ground floor, so when we arrived and found that it was just the lovely pool and the beauty salon on the ground floor that was a massive bonus no running through the farm in our dressing gowns in the rain! All these advantages were bonuses we discovered when we arrived so if I were the owners I'd make more of a fuss about them. The only tiny improvements I'd suggest would be something in the shower to store shampoo etc and some info in the folder about recycling we just put all our rubbish in the bin and then discovered the communal recycling bins at the end of the holiday. Overall, a great holiday and we'd be happy to come back.
This was our second visit to the flat and we enjoyed it just as much as the first time. Its comfortable, well equipped and has a fantastic view across the fields and out to sea. Theres plenty of good walking that starts right at the door. Great place for a total relax.
Lovely well appointed apartment with great views and walking from your doorstep. Well served locally by cafes restaurants and pubs although the best have to be booked, eg Dunstanburgh Hotel for Sunday lunch and The Potted Lobster at Bamburgh the latter is one of the best fish restaurants you will come across and needs booking well in advance!
A great place to 'get away from it all'. Plenty of places to visit or just go walking along the coast.
The apartment is modern, but cosy and very comfortable. The balcony with its view of the coast is a wonderful luxury. There are some lovely walks nearby, so you don't have to drive anywhere if you don't want to. The indoor pool is also a great thing to have as part of the whole deal. The staff on site when we saw them were welcoming and friendly. All in all we had a fantastic time. I'd advise booking early the area might be an undiscovered gem right now, but I've got a feeling that could change when word gets out! Only one tiny criticism the smoke alarms can be a bit sensitive when the grill is used. Other than that, I intend going back if I can.
