We had a very enjoyable stay at Lavender Cottage, which was comfortable, clean, well equipped and convenient for the centre of Alnwick. The owners were helpful and friendly when a minor issue arose. We would happily book the cottage again.
We love Lavender Cottage as it has an Aga, It is a cosy well equipped place to stay, close to town, the Castle, the shops and restaurants with wonderful walks but in a quiet secluded setting.

The Cottage was lovely and comfortable. We were cosy and warm in late autumn. It is only a very short walk from everywhere and parking outside was never a problem for us. I will book again as it was perfect for us.

A truly wonderful little cottage right next to the castle. It accommodates 4 people and has a generous supply of useful kitchen utensils and crockery. The kichen houses an Aga, keeping the kichen nice and warm, but it requires getting used to for cooking.alternatives are offered . The games in the cabinet were another extra plus. The property owner provides a parking permit to be returned after the stay for the restricted parking outside the house, but being a touristy street a parking space is not guaranteed at busy time, but we found it easy to find a space later in the evenings. Our family of 4 adults thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Lavender Cottage there was a large, lovely fragrant lavender bush in the small garden
Lavender Cottage is superb. It has all you could require and much more besides. Most comfortable and well equipped. We had a lovely time staying in it and hope we can return sometime.

We stayed for a full week in May, at Lavender Cottage, for my Birthday. The cottage was just as expected from the website. There was everything we needed for a great time. The location is superb and sitting out in the lovely garden area, was relaxing. It was always cosy to enjoy our evenings. Parking was always available. It is a hidden gem and would return and recommended.

Fabulous cottage. Warm, comfy, inviting, beautiful garden which we utilised on an evening with a glass of wine. Great cooking facilities. Set in a superb little courtyard. Ample parking. Picnics in Alnwick gardens during the day. Restaurants on the evening all of which were superb. Lavender cottage is brilliant!
We loved Lavender Cottage. It was clear that this was a wellloved home, not just a holiday let. The cottage was warm and comfortable and very well equipped. Cupboards were stocked to the point that we didn't need to buy any basics like foil or bin bags. I'd been a bit anxious about parking in the street, but by 5 pm every day, there was plenty of space, as Bailiffgate is permitcontrolled. Our one gripe was the Aga we loved the the fact that it was still cooking after living a very long life, but it took a very long time to cook anything in, as its temperature in the main oven didn't really go above 140 C. We ended up getting back to the cottage earlier so we could get our 3yearold's tea cooking sooner. All in all, we loved the cottage and we were left wishing we'd booked more than 4 nights!
Perfectly situated quiet cottage. Possibly 60m from the castle. Aga was a delight, never having used one before. So much to see in the area. Lindisfarne, Bamburgh, Hawick House and the beautiful gardens of Cragside. A delightful week.

Loveley cottage perfect location the only thing I would say that could be ... Loveley cottage perfect location the only thing I would say that could be improved is the cooking facility I think a conventional oven and hob would be better but other than that the cottage is perfect

I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Lavender Cottage. Clean, comfortable, wellequipped, and perfectly located for exploring. We could have done with staying another week and I would definitely like to return. My first experience using an Aga was a positive one and I imagine the cottage would be lovely and cosy in the cooler months. Some lovely pubs and restaurants nearby but you definitely need to book ahead! Thank you

Well located in a quiet private courtyard but within a short walk of all local amenities and attractions. On street permit parking two permits provided on Bailiffgate. Cosy, quaint, comfortable.

Lavender Cottage was the perfect place to stay, it has all you need for a perfect stay. Great location, pleasant outdoor area, spacious and comfortable accommodation. We will definitely be booking again next time we visit Alnwick. The cottage has a wonderful warmth courtesy of the aga and the decor is charming. It is a real home from home.

Lavender Cottage was lovely and I love how it is set in a courtyard. It is in walking distance to Alnwick town centre. Also its well situated to get out and about to see various attractions.
This is a wonderful, homely cottage which we would highly recommend. It is in a central location in Alnwick yet tucked away in its own private courtyard with a sunny spot for breakfast and evening meal.The Aga was fun to use and made the cottage very snug. There was a fantastic supply of local maps and guides, as well as a huge library of videosDVDs for all tastes.The beds were comfy, the hot water plentiful and the kitchen well stocked with everything you might need. A perfect place to stay.

Really well equipped and comfortable accommodation which is steeped in history. Even the access through a passage to Nurses Yard is like a trip through history. Extremely welcoming with an AGA warming the kitchen as you enter. Wonderfully convenient location in an historical part of Alnwick and in walking distance of the castle, garden and town restaurants and pubs.
