Foxglove Lodge 3 is a well-appointed two-bedroom lodge on a working farm in Newton-by-the-Sea, Northumberland. One of nine lodges on site, it sits tucked behind the sand dunes with the beach just a five-minute walk away. The National Trust owns most of the village and surrounding countryside, keeping it beautifully unspoilt.

Newton-by-the-Sea is a quiet coastal village with a traditional square at its heart. The village has a country pub serving food and a second beachside pub with its own micro-brewery. Bird watching, beach walking, cycling and golf are all on the doorstep.

About Foxglove Lodge 3

Foxglove Lodge 3 is a well-appointed two-bedroom lodge on a working farm in Newton-by-the-Sea, Northumberland. One of nine lodges on site, it sits tucked behind the sand dunes with the beach just a five-minute walk away. The National Trust owns most of the village and surrounding countryside, keeping it beautifully unspoilt.

Newton-by-the-Sea is a quiet coastal village with a traditional square at its heart. The village has a country pub serving food and a second beachside pub with its own micro-brewery. Bird watching, beach walking, cycling and golf are all on the doorstep. Day trips to Alnwick, Bamburgh Castle and Holy Island are easy from here.

The lodge sleeps four across two first-floor bedrooms one double and one twin both with countryside views and dual windows. Downstairs is a bright open-plan lounge, kitchen and dining area with wall-to-wall windows. There is one shower room plus a separate ground-floor WC. Up to two dogs are welcome.

Alnwick Castle (8 miles), Bamburgh Castle (14 miles), Dunstanburgh Castle (3 miles) and Holy Island (22 miles) are all within easy reach.

Foxglove Lodge 3 suits families and dog owners who want a south-west facing sun-trap deck, great beaches and easy access to some of Northumberland's finest coastline and castles.

The sandy beach is five minutes on foot. On site there is a shared enclosed play area with swings, a slide and a climbing frame. Dunstanburgh Castle, Alnwick Castle and its famous gardens and boat trips to the Farne Islands from Seahouses are all within easy reach for a great family day out.
For Couples
The south-west facing private deck is a genuine sun trap for afternoon and evening drinks. Wall-to-wall lounge windows frame open countryside. The village pub, a beachside restaurant with its own micro-brewery and coastal walks to Dunstanburgh Castle all make for a genuinely good couples escape on the Northumberland coast.
Pet Friendly
Foxglove Lodge 3 accepts up to two dogs. The sandy beach is five minutes away on foot and the coastal path towards Beadnell Bay and Craster offers miles of off-lead walking. The private decked area gives dogs outdoor space to settle. This is one of the newer dog-friendly lodges on the farm.
