Great cottage very peaceful with a good enclosed garden space for the dogs. Very warm and cosy.

The cottage was clean. The bedding and towels are not of good quality and the mattress was not comfortable. One of the blinds was broken, the door to the garden needs attention and the worktops are sticky due to the sealant applied. Nice welcoming basket and good parking. Privacy is not however respected, whilst having a quiet morning outside they came and mowed the grass without asking and I was told as it wasnt early they had the right to come into the property. We will not be returning.
Christon wells cottage was lovely, well equipped and met our needs , car parking was good. The patio is a sun trap and the weather was good so we sat outside a lot. It is situated in a good location making it very easy to visit the area. The train from Alnmouth to Newcastle is very good and a walk along the coast path a must do. The level of cleanliness could have been better, lots of cobwebs in all rooms and the kitchen worktops were sticky but these are minor issues overall and I would recommend this property. We would certainly come back.
Ideal spot for exploring the Northumberland coast in both directions from Berwick on Tweed to Alnwick via Holy and Farne islands, including multiple NT and EH properties. Go for it!
A photo and description of the lovely south facing patio and garden might encourage more guests. For us, this was a great bonus. The floor in the bedroom was dog hairy but the excellent vacuum cleaner enabled us to sort that out. Very warm welcome at the village pub, though unfortunately no food. Excellent location for cycling to many coastal venues along quiet roads.
Peaceful location in the Mews, great welcome pack, excellent walking for the dog also a rear garden for a bit more open air. A very comfortable cottage with ample space for two nothing overlooked in supplied fitings, my only drawback and as a word of advice and as a handicaped aged person I found the bed a little low for comfort, this comment designed as a word of advice. Lovely area for exploring.
Floors not clean at all and under the bed was filthy. Well equipped kitchen except just one small thing condiments would have been appreciated. Toilet went on flushing after the tank had filled, wasting water.Chest of drawers in the bedroom would be helpful.
