The property is lovely, and I'd recommend to others in terms of its comfort, lovely furnishings and location to the town centre. When we arrived there was an issue with the hot water, and we think maybe the boiler might have had a leak. Getting hold of anyone at Sykes was nigh on impossible, and fortunately my husband knew what to do to top it up with water. Sykes have an emergency helpline number, which you ring, go through all the various options to then up being told to either send a whatsapp or send in a message. This doesn't in any way reflect the property, but does raise concerns about Sykes Cottages should you have an issue.

Just spent two weeks in this wonderful apartment clearly owned by people who have their guests comforts in mind. Roomy, dog friendly and perfect for our three Cairn Terrier dogs who loved the outside space.. Inside was beautifully furnished with everything you need and had nothing to buy as it was all there. Quite unusual for a holiday rental. We had such a wonderful time that we are considering booking for December 2026 when it will be more Christmassy.

Location great plenty of on street parking which isnt always the case. Place was really well equipped with everything you need. Bedrooms good sizes and comfy beds. Showers good and lovely apartment to be in. Two issues however. One the front door was terribly difficult to open. It took ages sometimes and thats quite a worry if we had needed to escape for any reason quickly. It really needs sorting. The second issue isnt with the apartment itself but the neighbours above. They were incredibly noisy! Stomping around late at night and very early in the mornings. Also sounded like they were moving furniture constantly. They had no consideration for others at all and it ruined our stay and based on that alone I wouldnt stay here or recommend it. They honestly had no consideration at all.

Ideal apartment. It was very comfortable, had everything we needed and was nice and cosy on slightly chilly autumn evenings. I had to contact the owner about a very minor issue and she responded immediately with a followup message the next day. Highly recommend this accommodation.

The flat was comfortable and wellequipped, and in a great location. The only negative was the incorrect address we were sent, which meant we were stuck outside for half an hour with an anxious 89 year old.

Such a beautiful apartment, with everything you could possibly need and was lovely and clean.
