The house is spacious and welllocated, with excellent beds and bedding and generally good facilities. However there are a few issues which make it not as good a stay as it could be. The sofa is large but not very comfortable the seat and back cushions fall off almost every time you sit down, and the positioning of the sofa next to a long shelf on the wall means that the back of the sofa ends up under the shelf. Two of the three bedrooms do not have curtains or blinds, and there are very few windows which open in the house. Although they are large, the living room and kitchen don't feel particularly welcoming and it feels odd to have the table football in the kitchen but the dining table in the conservatory. The bathroom facilities were absolutely fine, we had no issues with hot water.
There was no hot water for the majority of our stay. The caretaker told us that the owners were aware that the property was in need of a new boiler. The cleanliness of the property was not has it should have been. There was only one window that could be opened upstairs as a fir escape but it was painted shut. I have completed the feedback forms and sent them off on the Web site ,and attached photos
The Reformed Church is a lovely property, with a massive open plan kitchen living room perfect for families. The beds are very comfortable, the lack of curtains or blinds in the two smaller bedrooms meant the teenagers where up earlier than usual maybe a choice of quilt would be nice SummerWinter but thats being picky. We did have a problem with the boiler but we called the agent and he came round straightaway and arranged for an engineer to fix it very straightforward and didnt impact our stay. The only downside was there was no shower, but the bath and shower head worked very well. The location is fabulous a 15 minute walk to the beach close to many sites and castles by car, you can walk to Dunstanburgh Castle easily along the Coastal Path. Highly recommend the house and area.
