Staying at The Wizard's Loft is a unique experience it is not just a comfortable stay , with a pleasing location in lovely Alnwick, and comfortable beds and bathrooms it makes for a truly memorable visit for those children and families that love Harry Potter . There is so much attention paid to the detail the distinct 'houses' translated into bedrooms and the Gryffindor 'common room ' that is , the lounge ! So many wonderful touches finding Hedwig on the way down the stairs , having Harry's broom and the golden snitch as we climbed the stairs to our Hufflepuff bedroom , and all of the framed pictures and signs, to name but a few. We stayed with three generations ourselves , daughter and son in law , and two grandchildren the latter so appreciated their welcome basket gift of the Harry glasses and wands there was much mirth ! Would thoroughly recommend for like minded folks our only downside was that our grandson cried when we had to leave ! We shall return !
Beautiful apartment really lovely decoration theme. My daughter loved it so much in there she wanted to stay all day. Hosts were lovely and helpful and the little welcome basket was such a cute touch. Would definitely stay again and highly recommend

Absolutely perfect location. The decor is incredible right from the start with music following you up and down the stairs. The kids jumped straight into their imagination when we hit the loft and started playing wizards. Just brilliant. We appreciated the washing machine and dishwasher. Easy parking instructions. We would have appreciated shampoo, conditioner and soap for the showers. The slugger in mattress was very lumpy and needs a change. Otherwise, this apartment was brilliant. The little details were perfected. We would love to visit again and would happily recommend.

We had a lovely couple of days in this excellent Harry Potter themed apartment. Extremely spacious and comfy and the little additional touches such as the welcome basket of snacks was much appreciated. It is right in the middle of Alnwick and very close to everything we wanted to visit. You can park right outside for a couple of hours to unload and there is a free car park about 5 mins walk away. We will definitely return.

We had a wonderful time staying at The Wizard's Loft for a long weekend. The location is brilliant and the apartment was very spacious, clean and comfortable. The attention to detail in the Harry Potter themed decor was amazing. Our ages ranged from 4 to 82 and we would all highly recommend staying here, but the stairs would be a problem if you have mobility issues.
What a fabulous property! Our daughters and us found it so magical. Every single detail has been so well thought out, from the themed rooms and entrance to the welcome basket. Situated in the heart of Alnwick everything is right on the doorstep, just a short walk away. Particular highlights for us were Alnwick Castle and Barter Books, though we're going to have to come back to visit Alnwick Gardens and Lilidorei too. A plethora of fabulous eateries, including Sher Khan and Mean Bean. Excellent communication from the property owner throughout. Our first time in Northumberland but certainly not our last. Thank you so much for a fabulous stay!
Absolutely fabulous apartment, situated in a good location, everything you require in walking distance. The attention to detail of the Harry Potter theme is amazing. A great space to relax in after a busy day of exploration. A delicious welcome hamper including wands and glasses for the grandkids.

Excellent place to stay. Right in the centre of Alnwick near to all the shops, bars and restaurants. It was warm and comfortable and I would have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone. We will definitely stay again when we come back to Northumberland.
Had a lovely time. The accommodation was great and really good fun. A few extra mats for the table would be useful to place hot bowlsdishes on and not mark the table. Top floor shower didn't drain very well and we were a little concerned that it might overflow. It didn't so perhaps it's not an issue. A lovely hamper was waiting for us, which was unexpected and very nice, thank you. Position in the town was superb.

Hi we had a fab time and the loft was such fun, and we would definately recommend. The only issue we had was the wifi TV aerial which wouldnt normally be a problem but we had quite a rainy day and it would have been good to have watched TV or a movie but there was no reception even when we tried to retune the TV and the wifi kept dropping out. Didnt bother you with this at the time as we were only there for a short time. Thank you for the extra little touches too, Sharon

This is th second time we have stayed here. Both times we have been delighted with the accommodation. It is right in the heart of town and has everything you might need. The only downside is lugging suitcases up 2 flights of stairs and third if you're in the upstairs bedroom, so best to try to travel light.

We had a lovely stay. We didn't have children with us but still enjoyed all the little touches such as the welcome at the top of the stairs! It is well equipped and spacious. We had a minor problem when we first arrived as there was no power but this was due to a general powercut and it was back on by the time we returned from dinner. The host was extremely helpful and kept us informed of when it would be back on. There are lots of good restaurants within walking distance and plenty of local shops. Definitely worth a return visit.

The only drawback with this property is the steep and narrow staircase but that is more than compensated for by everything else from the lovely welcome hamper, the very useful and comprehensive information pack and smart TVs in every room to the very high standard of all the facilities and appliances. This property is also perfectly located right in the centre of Alnwick in walking distance of many fine pubs and restaurants and the Alnwick Playhouse. Alnwick castle can be seen from the window. There is a Morrisons supermarket just over the road and a Lidl very close by. Topped of by the clever and imaginative Harry Potter themed decor what's not to like? Apart from the stairs
Booked this as a surprise for my daughter's 30th birthday weekend away. She LOVED it. In fact all 6 of us loved it and it's exactly as stated. Brilliantly located in the centre of Alnwick, free parking close by and within walking distance of the castle and gardens for our HP themed weekend. Good communication with the owner remember to look at both sides of the door for the key safe as it might not be the first one you see!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay very comfortable and cosy and great to be center of Alnwick. And the welcome basket was very much appreciated. A few wee things the blinds in the upstairs bedroom don't really keep out light very well. It would have been useful to have more mugs and a little more cutlery so that we didn't have to wash up after every coffeemeal. And the scaffolding coming down at 8.15 on New Year's Day was very unexpected and a bit noisy! Don't know whether the owner knew that was happening it was lovely that she left a bottle of champagne as an apology for the scaffolding

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Alnwick and our stay in Wizards Loft. The property was easy to find with very convenient parking immediately in front of the door for unpacking, before moving only a few minutes walk away after a couple of hours. The apartment is immaculately clean and very comfortable. Although central for all of Alnwicks facilities and attractions, with good views across the market square towards the castle, it was also very quiet.The welcome pack was a lovely surprise, and we found the information folder with details of restaurants very useful. Our adult children were brought up in the era of the Harry Potter books being published, and we all enjoyed exploring the themed furnishings and decor and also the Harry Potter games compendium and DVDs ! We were particularly grateful to the owners for returning a bag full of our belongings which we were careless enough to leave behind very promptly. We would love to visit again one day, and will recommend it to friends.

We were absolutely delighted with our stay at The Wizard's Loft. It was everything we expected and more. It was extremely comfortable with all the facilities we could want. The Welcome Pack was extraordinary and anyone who is a Potter fan would be spellbound by the attention to detail of that theme. The central location is perfect for the Castle, Gardens and everything else the beautiful town of Alnwick has to offer. It is a bit of a climb up the stairs, but the views across the town are more than worth it. The hosts were available on the phone and free 2 hour parking on the street between 8am & 6pm is easily managed with a bit of thought. We'll certainly consider coming back.
We hired the Wizard's Loft despite the Harry Potter theme as we just wanted accommodation in Central Alnwick with 3 bedrooms and had left it quite late. Entering the property with the theme music suddenly appearing was unnerving the first time. However, what a surprise it was to discover such a roomy, clean and, indeed, perfect place to stay. We loved the views over the market place, the comfy beds and the huge TV. Charming Alnwick was on our doorstep! The Northumberland coast was within easy reach. We had a fantastic week in the flat, despite being an adult family of 4 with fading memories of Harry Potter. We all feel we will now miss the theme music as we come and go!
We had such an amazing stay at the Wizards Loft. The apartment was perfect and in a wonderful location. We all loved the Harry Potter theme and this made it more magical. Cant wait to book again!
