Strandline Reviews

Lovely little cottage, very cosy all the amenities and a nice central location.
I stayed in Strandline alone for 3 nights in November. It was perfect for what I needed. The property is cosy and well equipped, the bed was extremely comfortable and the shower excellent. Its location couldnt be more convenient for access to shops, cafes and the beach. My only quibble relates to parking. There is very little unrestricted roadside parking near the property I managed, but I can imagine it would be a challenge in a busier season.
The house is in a good location and is reasonable. However there were a few issues. There was no toaster, the sink tap in the toilet was loose and the microwave was in a poor condition. After reporting the issues to the rental company a toaster arrived but the other issues were not resolved. I am 6.02 and found the bed to be small. A person from the adjacent property smoked directly outside their back door next to the kitchen door of the house and the smell of cigarettes came into the kitchen.

This was a beautiful, relaxing and comfortable house in an ideal location. I really enjoyed my week here and would definitely stay here again. Particular highlights were the window seat, an afternoon sun trap, and the view down the street from the bedroom. One issue was that the hob wasn't working, but hopefully this will be fixed soon. I would also appreciate some larger mugs, if I'm nitpicking!

LOVELY COTTAGE IN A GREAT LOCATION, VERY WELL EQUIPED TO A VERY GOOD STANDARD. A NEW KITCHEN AND BATHROOM SO BETTER THAN EXPECTED FROM THE PHOTO'S. ONLY BUG BER FOR US WAS THE SHARED YARD, HAVING A DOG MADE IT DIFFICULT TO LET HER OUT FOR A QUICK SNIFF OR WEE SO HAD TO KEEP GOING OUT OF THE FRONT DOOR AND WALK THE STREETS. IN REFLECTION I SHOULD HAVE READ THE DISCRIPTION IN MORE DETAIL. OTHERWISE PERFECT IN A WONDERFUL PART OF THE UK. THANKS LIAM
Strandline is a cute little house, perfect for two. The views down the street from different angles offer great people and dog watching possibilities and what a lovely bustling street it is! Scotts Deli is fantastic we watched the coffee queue grow each morning! There are also great pubs and cafs only minutes away. The house is generally comfortable although we felt it could have been cleaner. Nothing terrible, just crumbs and dust etc. but it definitely influenced our first impressions. Strandline has lots of character and suited us well as a base to walk sections of the wonderful Northumberland coast. We would definitely return.
A great little cottage. Such a good location for the shops, beach, train station and buses. The beach and golf club 5 mins walk. The property was very clean everything you need in it. The only thing I would have liked was a welcome pack, just some milk bread would be a nice touch as I have had in other places I have stayed. We drove from London which took 7 hours so the local post office was closed when we arrived, so no milk for tea until the morning. Other than that we had a great stay and look forward to booking again next year. Thank you.
The property is in a great location on the main Street in Alnmouth. We found it lovely & quiet & parking was not an issue. Bed was super comfy with crisp white bedding & fluffy towels provided. Unfortunately the bathroom had sustained a leak apparently the week before & as such we were unable to use the shower hose we could use the bath & there was a significant patch in the lounge ceiling which was damaged. As a result the bath tiles had been removed & were not sealed around the bath, but not much you can do I suppose in view of the leak issue at short notice. The kitchen however was a great disappointment.. it was very tired & more importantly I found it not very clean.. There were silverfish on a plate which I removed from the cupboard & a woodlice on the wall & a couple of spiders on the wall.. it totally put me off going in the kitchen. All in all we enjoyed our stay in Alnmouth, this will be our 5th visit . Re the accommodation on this occasion, I feel it needs some good old tlc & a new kitchen .

Our stay at strandline cottage was comfortable, very clean and warm its position in the village is brilliant. We did have a initial problem with the hob and maybe a set of instructions would have helped
Strandline is gorgeous! A little Alnmouth paradise! Thank you for sharing with us.
There's only one thing we can critizise is the sofa not very comfy but other than that lovely
Great position in Alnmouth and a lovely comfortable bed. The sofa isnt the comfiest but overall it was a very nice cottage.
Lovely accomodation, central to shops, pubs and beaches. Due to location car parking was an issue on occasions.
A slightly impersonal feel to the property with items left being pre packed. No soap at all left, empty cardboard boxes left on living room floor. Overall this is a good property with basic requirements fully met
Sharon
Lovely property, very well presented and equipped, everything you needed, comfortable bed, great position. All good.
A nice property, spacious and well equipped in a great location. Alnmouth is a lovely place and we have visited many times, first time in this property,so to make it even better,we suggest the following The separate toilet has no heating and a window which doesnt close properly, even in April it was a bit cold! The listing says that fuel is included for the wood burner,it wasnt,so either the listing should change or fuel needs to be leftprobably an oversight We would stay in the house again so that shows that there is nothing fundamentally wrong.

Back courtyard was being improved with new decking. Looks good! With some TLC it has lots more potential. Look forward to using it next year.
We had such a lovely stay. The house was warm, plenty of space, good shower, good internet access and comfortable bed. The kitchen was well equipped and all instructions easy to find for oven etc. The decor and ambiance of the property were just lovely. Thank you.
Strandline is peaceful, clean, light and homely with a unique view down the street and the sand dunes beyond. It is well positioned for access to shops, restaurants, bus stop and the beach. Alnmouth is a true gem with a great friendly buzz about it. Lots of other interesting places nearby to visit.
