Rose Lodge Reviews

Tracey
Would highly recommend. The accommodation had everything you would ever need. We loved the location on a working farm seeing all the chickens, ducks, peacocks and various other birds roaming free. We stayed in the special allocated lodge for dogs. At the back of the lodge it had an enclosed decking area for your dog to roam free. The beach is a five min walk down the road which was ideal. The pub was a 10 min walk we had a couple of meals there which were very nice. We have booked for next year loved it so much. The owners are so friendly
Denise
Clean, bright and spacious. Everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Loved seeing the animals and birds around the farm yard, and being able to go for wonderful walks right from the door. A short stroll to a beautiful sandy beach, and a handy dog wash to clean up the dog on our return. We enjoyed longer walks to Dunstanburgh and Beadnell harbour, and shorter walks to the Ship Inn where we enjoyed lunches and morning coffee.
Lovely setting for families to enjoy a relaxing break. Accommodation is equipt with everything you need. The great variety of birds, horses and play area keep children entertained. Easy 5min walk to the beautiful quiet beach.
Lovely quiet warm and comfortable property in a great location and area. Very clean and everything we needed, although a mirror in the second bedroom would be helpful. Loved the animals wandering around. Sykes description needs updating though to say dogs not allowed upstairs, the beach is a good 5 minutes walk away and check out is 9.30am. Otherwise we had a fabulous stay.
Place was fantastic, was nice and warm and very comfortable, from the peacocks to the cheeky hens and ducks cant complain! To have the gorgeous beach minutes was so good esp for our pooch ! Definitely looking at booking again. Only thing I will say is a mirror in the twin room is needed.
Fantastic property, very well set out. Great accessories. Views are beautiful. This is our 2nd time at Rose lodge and Im sure it wont be the last. Had an amazing week
Lovely stay everything top notch really enjoyed ducks and chickens running loose lovely warm lodge
Very comfortable and well equipped lodge everything you would need provided ... Very comfortable and well equipped lodge everything you would need provided location excellent for walking the coastal path with stunning scenery
We are so glad we found this gem in your booking site! A perfect location for a bit of respite from the rat race. Be entertained by the wildlife from your patio doors and enjoy the antics of the animals around the farm! The lodge is immaculately clean, facilities second to none, five minute walk to the beach. perfect! just perfect! Wish we were still there!
Excellent cottage, loved the birds in the yard, friendly people, was great. Thanks
I cant rate Rose Lodge enough. The property is clean and tidy, well equipped. It was perfect for us to use as a base for walking. The farm is quiet apart from our little visitors we had a peacock whose loves to sing and came on our decking and the horses also like to nose, which was amazing. I loved the open porch for our sandy boots! Its comfortable and welcoming. The owners are also really helpful and friendly. We will be booking for next year! Thank you so much!
Louise
We were in Rose Lodge. There is virtually nothing in the property advertising to suggest the lodge is right in the middle of a farm. Our pup escaped the lead the minute we arrived and ran after a rooster, as all the farm birds are roaming right next to the properties. Our lodge was at the end which was right next to the barn. While we absolutely love animals, we have a reactive dog who reacts to animal sounds. I also have hay fever so spent my time with a runny nose and streaming eyes. I think it should be clearer in the description that farm animals would be wandering free. I also think a gate at the porch of the property would add an extra layer of security, rather than having just the front door. The TV cut out one night and apparently it's a common problem. Apart from that we enjoyed our stay, the lodge is beautiful, very well equipped and very close to the gorgeous beach. The beds were extremely comfortable. I would recommend Link House Farm for a peaceful break and the perfect base for exploring the Northumberland coast.
Barbara
The patio door was extremely difficult to open and close. The shower difficult to regulate. Otherwise perfect.
Michael
Very happy with the accommodation, and the location. This was our third stay in the area and the location is superb for my dog.Booked for next year!
Great location just a few minutes walk to the beach and 1525 mins walk to 2 very decent pubs. Well equipped cottage. Very quiet except the peacocks and cockerels which we loved. We would wholly recommend.
Andrew
We had a wonderful stay at Rose Lodge, couldnt have been any better. Property is fantastic and location is superb. Already booked to go back next May, as we loved it that much!
Suzanne
Excellent accommodation in a quiet location. The lodge was very clean and really comfortable and was only a two minute walk from the beach and coastal path. Would recommend and definitely return.
A very peaceful place. Lodge is modern, well equipped and comfortable. Easily able to adjust the heating was excellent especially in January . So close to the beach and the coastal footpaths making it fabulous for walking.
Very smart clean and cosy lodge with everything you need provided for
Rose Lodge is a lovely property, modern, spotlessly clean, very comfortable and really well equipped. Rural location meant peace and quiet, a short walk to a wonderful beach through sand dunes was just what we wanted. Embleton three miles away has a fuel station with shop. All in all a lovely week, with an added bonus of sunny weather.
Sharon
Lovely, cosy place to stay and lots of other stunning lodges around the farm.
Jennifer
A very comfortable well equipped house very near a really quiet large sandy beach. Easy parking. Convenient for the coastal path. The Northumbrian hay meadow near Low Newton was amazing. Not to be missed until haymaking around mid August and even then the field edges were beautiful. Tidy, well looked after complex on a working farm with a fascinating array of poultry. Would come here in future in preference to Bamburgh or Beadnell.
