We spent a fantastic week with the family at Mount Hooley Lodge. The views are truly stunning and the spot is so peaceful and private, perfect for relaxing. The lodge itself feels spacious, cosyand super comfortable, with plenty of seating for everyone. We enjoyed a BBQ and toasted marshmallows by the firepitand the hot tub was a real treat, even during Storm Ashley. Also loved the walk along the old railway track from Alston - it's such a lovely trail. We'd definitely recommend it!

The hot tub and BBQ hut were definite highlights - perfect for relaxing evenings. The kitchen was well-stocked with everything we neededand the water in the showers was always nice and hot, which is a big plus. We enjoyed exploring the nearby pubs and some lovely walks in the area. The only tricky part was the walk back up to the lodge from the road - it's quite steep and a bit tiring, so might be tough for anyone with mobility issues or less fit. Our dogs had a great time running around in the spacious garden. All in all, it's a truly beautiful spot for a peaceful getaway. We're already planning our next visit, it really is a good place!
