Very nice cottage. Owners corresponded by text. Although only 2 of us, we needed to use 2 of the bedrooms which were very comfortable. Our dog settled easily into life at Lonnon Cottage. Kitted out with most things we needed. We ate out a lot as there are so many dog friendly eateries in the area. No details on how the various appliances worked. Road to cottage from Main road, crosses the main east coast line and is very bumpy. Morrisons deliver groceries.

Lovely place to stay. Well located for access to beaches and towns. Particularly appreciated the enclosed dog exercise area. Hope to return next year.

Lonnon is a semidetached holiday cottage in a great location. Parking is just over the road in a dedicated area. There is lots to see and to locally, Alnwick and Alnmouth are an easy drive away. The cottage wasnt the cleanest weve visited, with quite a lot of dog hair on the soft furnishings and under the coffee table.

Excellent location for visiting the Northumbrian coast and very peaceful! It suited our needs perfectly! Has everything you need for an enjoyable break and not too far from civilisation!

I'm a bit of a stickler for precisness and cleanliness but in general the cottage was good. A few very minor things need sorting out but nothing to worry about. Good location suited our needs.

A lovely cottage for our family holiday of 5 adults and a toddler. The cottage was warm and comfortable. We loved the quiet location which was perfect for exploring the local area and relaxing to come back to in the evening. A week just isnt long enough for all that there is to do in the area. The owners were very helpful and responded quickly to any issues.

Overall we weren't too happy. There was only one wardrobe in total. To watch TV from the sofa, it created a criick in the neck having to look up. We had to throw away good food which would have been useful for anyone following. We couldn't see why we had to leave by 10am. We had to leave the place as we found it, so why couldn't this be later. The bedding wasn't changed after the first week. This is only our opinion, but I could have made more comments. A positive were some views from the property.

The cottage is comfortable & ideally placed for visiting places along the lovely Northumberland coastline. There are nice walks from the cottage with lovely views of the sea & Alnmouth.

A lovely place to stay in a stunningly beautiful area. The cottage is very comfortable with sea views and a beautiful walk to Alnmouth which we loved. There is so much to do within a short drive and we made the most of the great weather. Highly recommended and we hope to return.

The cottage itself was great lovely setting. Warm and comfortable. The kitchen let you down. It was dirty in places. I have left a note about lack of cleanliness and lack of good equipment. Mostly probably only noticeable with use.

We had a brilliant week at Lonnon Cottage. Very cosy, excellent facilities under floor heating, powerful shower, dishwasher, washing machine, sea views etc. No carpet, all cardine floors which are ideal for dogs. The owner was friendly and responsive but not in the least intrusive. Highly recommended, thank you.

The property was as described in a lovely quiet area. Near to a train line but couldn't hear the trains at all. The owners were very helpful before our visit answering our questions about wheelchair access. We took our portable wheelchair ramp to make it easier to get over the front door step but once inside the cottage was wheelchair accessible. Nice break away. Would recommend.

What a lovely cottage . Lonnon was very well equipped and clean . It was nicely furnished and the beds were very comfortable ..It was very close to all local amenities and points of interest with numerous beautiful beaches all very close at hand .The children loved the games and the garden and especially the chickens ,cows and sheep on the farm .A lovely place to stay .

The cottage was comfortable, well equipped, very clean and tidy. The contemporary coordinated decor in the bedrooms is lovely. Everything needed was there, except extra toilet paper and washing up liquid.

We loved everything about Lonnon cottage from the close proximity to the beach, the coastal walks from the end of the road, 10 minutes drive to a choice of supermarkets, to the array of reading material, jigsaws and board games for an evening. The cottage had everything we needed for a home from home vacation and Darren and Lesley were very helpful both before we arrived and whilst away without being intrusive. We would definitely rebook in the future. If you wanted to go with friendsextended family Pond cottage is right next door. Thankyou Lesley and Darren for letting us stay in your lovely cottage.

Fantastic week at Lonnon, if the only point I can raise is that I thought the TV was too high, then its been a pretty good week. Lesley was so helpful and were already looking for another booking!

The cottage was perfect for us, it was comfortable, well equipped with everything we needed. It rained for most of our stay but we played with the games, jigsaws, read and binged on box sets in the evening whilst doing puzzles. Our teenage grandchildren enjoyed seeing the beautiful places on the doorstep and beyond. Our three dogs enjoyed beautiful walks. Three generations of our family would love another visit. A gorgeous perfect place to stay so clean and they have thought of every item needed. All the crockery, pans, towels, beds, Sofas, furniture are of high quality, near to everything including 2 very local villages Alnmouth and Warkworth where there are a few pubs and a restaurant . 2 min drive then a 10 min walk to the stunning rose sands beach next to alnmouth beach. Only thing I feel I need to mention is the garden isnt attached to the cottage, we managed by putting our dogs on a lead and it was a 5 sec walk round the back of the cottage but some could find this an inconvenience but honestly everything else out ways this small point. Lesley the owner was so friendly and couldnt do enough to make our stay as comfortable as ever. Would definitely come back!

Lonnon was a great cottage for us for the week. Lovely furnishings, comfy beds and loads of kitchen equipment made for a very comfortable stay. We would definitely return here as the location is just perfect for visiting all the local beaches and villages. There is also a great bus service that runs along the coast so if you do a coastal walk and don't have the energy for the return walk, then you can jump on a bus! the only negatives, and not anything that would prevent us from re booking, is that with a dog, there is no direct access to the garden, so we had to put him on a lead to walk down the lane and the garden furniture could do with improving so that the lovely outside space can be enjoyed more comfortably. Thank you Lesley and Darren for the lovely welcoming treats too!

We had a lovely stay at Lonnen. The accomodation was comfortable and warm and the beds were especially comfortable. My granddaughter loved having the chickens and ducks on the farm as well as all of the wild rabbits.

However, the cottage would have benefited from a vacuum cleaner in the cottage and access to a washing machine maybe a shared one in one of the outbuildings particularly if we had been staying for more than a few days.
