I had the best stay at Jenny's cottage. I came up for some peace and quiet while I wrote for my PhD with some coast and fun for the chill time. The cottage is lovely and has all the comforts of home. The layout works brilliantly and there is everything there you could need kitchen was really well outfitted for everything from a snack to a full on meal. I loved curling up in the chair to read of an evening. Everything was super clean and welcoming. Catherine was a fantastic host and on hand if I needed anything. Honestly I cannot recommend this lovely hideaway enough, you can see the sea from the sofa and wake up to bird song its a perfect and peaceful retreat. Its close to lots of walks and other villages which is great for days or evenings out. I'd love to come back and enjoy again.

We have been to Jenny's cottage lots of times, it feels like home from home, we love it there. The owners are extremely friendly and helpful if you need help. The property isn't close to amenities, so a car is a must. However it is in a lovely position for walks. Alnmouth is the closest town with a beautiful beach. Alnwick is a must, and Warkworth and Amble, all worth a visit. I'm sure we'll be booking for next year soon. Thank you.

We both loved our time in Jenny cottage, very comfortable and clean and amazing shower. Situated very well for visiting Northumberland area and it was equally good just to sit and soak in the beautiful views. Lovely friendly family around to help if needed. Will definitely be returning at some point, and loved look of The Bothy too . Had a fantastic holiday and cannot recommend staying here highly enough.

The downstairs TV didn't work, the radio alarm clock was also broken. We reported these upon arrival and we're told the TV would be repaired or replaced neither of which happened. The toilet dripped constantly and again despite reporting this nothing was done to rectify the issue. From talking to the maintenance man, I get the impression these faults had been reported before and they simply hope guests will put up with it. The place is quite tired e.g. the sofas are old and no longer very comfortable. The dishwasher is old and extremely noisy, don't put it on when you go to bed unless you want to be kept awake!!

We had a really good time. The suite was well appointed, we had a very relaxing time. the suite is situated in a very quiet area and gives good access to all the major sites in Northumberland. The owners were very pleasant even apologising for the weather which was actually ok and we did all the visits we had planned. Would highly recommend and we would certainly return in the future.

It was a delight to arrive at Jenny Cottage, with all its comforts and charm. The cottage was immaculate, and I could literally just move in everything was there, and in place to help create the perfect stay. From the shear luxury of the divine 4poster bed, the excellent kitchen facilities to the wow bathroom with its airbath. The fresh ground coffee and delicious flapjacks were a thoughtful touch. The views were breathtaking and utterly captivating catching the sunrise is a must. As for Northumberland, it was the gift that kept on giving return I must, for there is still so much wonder to enjoy. Really comfortable cosy cottage , lovely location very well appointed. The owners daughter turned out on a cold dark evening to show us how the extractor above the hob worked to our embarrassment!! Each morning after we had light snow she was out putting sand on the paths for our safety We would definitely want to return we had a great relaxing holiday ideal for on strenuous walks and enjoying the wildlife in the beautiful countryside.

The owners are so hospitable and on hand to ensure you enjoy every minute of your stay. There is so much to see and do in the surrounding are. It's my second time staying at this lovely property, and I enjoyed the week very much the cottage is very cosy and comfortable with a beautiful view, the location is very peaceful and the owner is very friendly and helpful. Just one comment the description of the facilities on the Sykes listing needs some items updating there is now a freezer compartment to the new fridge and the TV is a Smart TV with access to many other providers like Netflix and Amazon Prime, not just live tv,

We had an absolutely delightful week at Jenny's Cottage. The property is beautiful, furnished and equipped to a high quality standard, with a fabulous view especially through sunset of Almouth and the sea from the firstfloor sittingroom. There were lovely coastal waks, miles of unspoiled virtually empty beaches, and country walks only a relatively short car ride away and countless places on interest slightly further afield we especially enjoyed the castles, lovely pubs, and great local beer! Dorothy, the proprietor, and her team were very friendly and helpful. A great find!

Everything was fine including the weather,lovely break meeting my daughters and family one from Preston ,the others from Melbourne . We enjoyed all the delights of the area,the wildlife,the castles ,the resorts,the paddle boarding ,the food.

Splendid, clean, comfortable, wellequipped cottage with amazing views. Very helpful, friendly owners. Re other comments we had no difficulty with bath nor stairs in our 70s, but did feel rather indulgent running so much hot water for a post walk bath! Another positive is fast wifi and smart tv. Excellently located for exploring the area. The only negative is the broken up tarmac drive to the properties. As the car is definitely needed every day, it is not ideal!
