Alison
This was our 2nd holiday at Hillside View. We love the lodge because it has everything you need with comfortable beds & sofas. The setting is truly stunning & its so relaxing & peaceful. If you have dogs it is reassuring to know they can not escape. We are already planning our next visit. Alison & Lee.
Very happy with lodge lovely stay, location ideal for touring around area. The owners were great texted to make sure everything was okay. Will be back.
Claire
It was a lovely spacious lodge with everything we needed. Couldn't fault it. The only problem and this is no fault of the owners is that the golf course had not been cut for some time and it was a specifically why we chose Percy Wood. We did mention it to the owners who will hopefully pass our comments on to the owners of the park. If golf is advertised then you should be able to play.
Sandra
This lodge is perfect in every way, it is a proper home from home. The only thing you need to bring is your toothbrush, the owners have thought of everything. Very clean and very comfortable. The surrounding area nothing but peace and quiet, the hot tub is a big bonus. This lodge is a little gem, it is my first time staying here, and i have already booked for next year. I give it 10 out of 10 can't wait for my next stay.
Wonderful 4 night stay. The lodge was really comfortable and well equipped, lovely welcome gift of chocolates and wine, very much appreciated. Very quiet at night time and lovely views from the lodge. Would stay again.
Richard
Had a fantastic stay, on arrival a welcome pack which was unexpected. The lodge & Hot Tub over looks the Golf Course but also had privacy. Many extras added by the hosts for the amenities, a full welcome pack with instructions & places to see, visit in the area. Spotlessly clean & would highly recommend. Hot Tub is cleaned maintained daily and is so relaxing after exploring the area. So many extras like board games, DVDsTV to get the young ones asleep

We had a super week in this well equipped, clean lodge. The view over the golf course was great, we spotted lots of deer. The location is great with Alnwick and Morpeth a short drive away. My husband loved the hot tub too. Would definitely recommend.
Andrew
It is a lovely lodge with everything and more at your disposal, very comfortable and set in a quiet location on a very large site overlooking a golf course. Regularly saw a group of 3 deer around 7 8am and some evenings from the veranda, which was lovely. Everything works well generally, though we did have some issues with the hot tub but they did try and get it working better and overall I think it needs another pump to get all the jets working properly but we played with it and got some working well, and the heater in the hot tub was good as it stayed nice and hot. Golf course is free and you can hire clubs if you don't bring your own, I walked most of it and it is pretty short and simply to play, wide open fairways mean its a decent course for beginners as well. Well maintained although this drier summer has caused some of the greens to be a bit patchy. Buggies are available and most people used them although it is easy to walk and pretty flat. There is a nice walk around the course and through some woodland which takes about 45 mins to an hour. Well located close to the A1, and there is a lovely pub called the Cook and Barter about 1.5 miles away that does amazing food. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend it.
Hollie
A lovely place to stay, very clean and comfortable. Great views over the golf course and close to lots of interesting places to visit.
The lodge is located in a great area for seeing the attractions and historical sites in Northumberland. It is situated in a lovely quiet part of the site overlooking the golf course. It was very clean and comfortable with everything provided and 2 dogs seemed very happy there too. We had a slight issue which was resolved quickly so wouldnt hesitate to recommend and will hopefully return.
Alison
Beautiful lodge with everything you need provided. Comfortable furniture & the double bed & duvet were amazing. Needed to contact the owner on one occasion as there was an issue with the hot tub that was being sorted out but this did not spoil our stay in anyway & I would 100 return next year. The setting was to die for, didnt want to leave.
Issue on Wednesday. No heating and hot water. Rang both numbers that were provided. No answer. Contact by txt from second number however could not assist. Heating wasn't an issue but hot water was as waiting to get showered to go out. From first contact it took 2 hours for owner to get back to us in order to resolve issue. Bad start to the day really

Everything to a high standard even down to the dishes. Nicola was easy to contact and very helpful. I would highly recommend this lodge.
We had a lovely stay at hillside view. The lodge was comfortable and as listed. We enjoyed the location as it was central to activities we had booked for during our stay. The owners left useful information and were easy to contact if we required any other information. The hot tub was a lovely touch and we enjoyed relaxing in it after our days out.

Lovely lodge very well equipped, great location on sight not overlooked. Quiet site and pleasant walks around the woods.
Beautiful lodge with views over the golf course and woods. extremely clean and well equipped with bonus of a hot tub. so great to be able to bring the dogs who enjoyed lovely walks in the woods on site and the lovely beaches and countryside nearby. a great location for visiting northumberland. excellent communication with the owners and thanks so much also for the welcome gift which was a lovely touch much appreciated. it didnt worry us but just to note there is no shop onsite sainsburys and m&s just up the A1 and the clubhouse was more like a social club but the site was very well maintained
Loved this lodge, so peaceful despite being on a large site, lovely to look out over the golf course. Very well equipped, everything to really high standards, and Nicola and Paul were very friendly and helpful. Loads to do in this area which we had not visited before, Sunday market in Amble is worth a visit, and Amble itself is a lovely little town. Also Alnwick Castle and Garden, Bamburgh Castle, and a boat trip to Lindisfarne and the Farne Islands is not to be missed. We had a wonderful fortnight and hope to return. Val and Christine Southampton

The lodge has everything you need to enjoy your stay, although its close to the A1 you truly feel you are in the middle of the countryside. Our two pugs loved the walks, we even had a trip to bamburgh castlebeach and seahouses. Weve stayed at this park for the past 3 years and this was by far our favourite property.
Eleanor
The lodge was beautiful, very clean and comfortable. Our hosts had thought of everything and more that we might need for our stay.

We really enjoyed our stayed at Hillside Lodge, one of the most comfortable and home from home places we have stayed at before, the owners of the lodge go above and beyond to make your stay comfortable. It was really nice waking in the morning to see deers, outside, it was a very peaceful area. Where the lodge was situated was a great location for us, we visited Alnwick, Berwick, Holy Island , Hadrians wall and other places. All in all a very great stay. Thankyou.
Patricia
Excellent few days at Hillside view. Everything thought of . The only issue we had was that the wind was strong and blew over the umbrella and a gate on the porch . We left a message for the owners. The hot tub was just the best especially on the one clear night when the stars were out !
This amazing little gem was luxury indeed. Extremely clean, very well equipped and a lovely present from the owner of a bottle of prosecco and chocolates. We spent just 4 days walking and exploring the local area, restaurants and pubs as recommended by the owner. Together with a wonderful New Year's Eve celebration and many fun times in the hot tub. Absolutely perfect venue and I would highly recommend.
A Beautiful well equipped Lodge. Spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Highly recommended.
What an amazing find. Beautiful lodge fully equipped with everything you might need. En suite is huge with a walkin shower. Tranquil setting looking out to part of the golf course. Close to the seaside many castles Holy Island and an amazing second hand book shop the size of a supermarket! The hot tub was just what the doctor ordered to keep both my husband and child happy! Would definitely recommend this lodge and seriously looking at booking again.
We were very happy with our stay at Hillside View. The accommodation was one of the cleanest places we have ever stayed in. Location was great close to a lot of places to visit. The holiday park was very quiet and my husband enjoyed a round of golf. Hot tub was really good. We had a lovely time there. Thank you.
Nerissa
The lodge was immaculate, with everything we needed. The pictures don't do it justice. We had a lovely, relaxing time staying for a week. We visited all of the local beaches and are at a number of the local restaurants. Fantastic hosts too with great communication and the wine and chocolates. On arrival was a lovely touch too. Brilliant place to have a holiday.
Gillian
We had a great weekend. The idea was to relax, enjoy the hot tub and do as little as possible and that's what we did. The lodge was in a perfect place on the site! The facilities were over and above the standard you would usually get and everything was thought of, down to a welcome bottle of prosecco! It was spotless, the intruction file was great although local taxi numbers might be a good addition for the pub trips
Good welcome pack. Great location. Restful. Owner checked part way through if everything was ok. Lovely walks especially if you have a dog. Would stay there again.
