A lovely clean and well appointed cottage. The owner has been thoughtful in the things provided and we had a very nice welcome pack. The cottage itself is in a perfect place as a base to see all the main attractions and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay!!
Property is up for sale and I think this shows in the general maintenance of the property which requires some updating. The water pressure is terrible making it almost impossible to have a shower and although you can run a bath it takes so long that it is essentially lukewarm, by the time it has run. There was a lack of any kind of welcome basket, so we didn't have any of the usual things that we expected, hand soap, a dish cloth, milk, pack of biscuits etc that are generally waiting there when we arrive at a property. It was however clean, the owner was very pleasant and contactable and the house is ideally placed as a base for visiting the wonderful sites on the doorstep and is fairly well equipped.
A very comfortable and well equipped home from home. Excellent location for touring the area. Only down side was the old shower, not so effective for larger adults.
A beautiful cottage in a beautiful village location. Communication with the owner was 100 and the welcome bottle of fizz was a lovely touch. The cottage is very well equipped and had everything you could need. The village is well provided for in terms of shops & pubs, the Village Inn is excellent for both food and drink and the Granby opposite serves wonderful food. Would recommend this cottage 100
Gorgeous cosy cottage in the heart of Longframlington. Perfect location for exploring Northumberland. The cottage is beautifully decorated and very well equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Cute little back yard provides outdoor space. Very friendly village with great facilities two pubs where you can eat, artisan cafe and bakery and lovely park. Highly recommended.
Cosy cottage with character, conveniently situated between Alnwick and Rothbury. Very well equipped kitchen although the kitchen scales weren't working! Plenty of hanging space in the master bedroom, which is a generous size. Small chest of drawers would be beneficial in the twin room. No problem with parking as there was always space on the pavement 100 yards or so from the property. Cottage is located on a main A road, which seems at its busiest in the early morning. By the evening it seems strangely deserted. Lovely local shopspubscafe where you are assured of a warm welcome. Fabulous dark night skies for stargazers up on the moors.
Beautiful cottage and a lovely village could not want for anything more the only regret was having to come home. thank you for a lovely memory we will return
Gorgeous, super clean and comfy house with lots of lovely supplies and extras! Thank you so much to the owner for making it an excellent place to stay in the village. Near the road but windows are effective and it was very peaceful. Lots to do in the area and stunning places to visit.

This was one of those rare stays that was just as promised and your torn wether ... This was one of those rare stays that was just as promised and your torn wether to review or not because if you say all the nice things about the property you want to say you might not be able to return because it will be fully booked But because we did have a fantastic time and I am a nice person if you are looking for a cosy clean comfortable cottage then you will not be disappointed
Jacqueline
Fabulous property. We loved the location, everything was perfect. The village itself was really nice. Pubs and cafe were great. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely like to return.
Stephen
Lovely cottage with everything you would need, cozy warm and comfortable with the log burner being a great plus, the owner went way above to ensure our stay was perfect. Would definitely stay again.
Lovely, clean, well equipped property. Lots of useful and pleasant communication from the owners. Would highly recommend
Such a well looked after, modern little house. Felt instantly comfortable and relaxed on arrival and able to begin our little break. I took my own deep oven dishes which meant we could have a Roast Beef sunday dinner, however missed my mashed potatoes as there's no masher. I don't know if it's through time and amount of use from others but there seems to be an odd variety of dinner knives and twice as many forks. That's not a compliant just advice to the owners might need a new set.
Lovely warm cosy cottage. Beautifully equipped. Just one tiny criticism could do with a small non stick frying pan and flat oven tray. Apart from that it was lovely. Beautiful welcome pack which was so generous.
Sandra
We had a lovely stay at Edendale. The owner had left a lovely welcome pack, which was very much appreciated. The beds were comfortable with crisp, clean linen. Clean towels were also provided. The 34 for maintenance and cleanliness, related to a constantly dripping kitchen tap and windows that needing cleaning, as did the glass canopy in the back courtyard. Sadly, the kerb appeal was lacking as the front entrance needed sweeping and cleaning. We appreciated the property was on a main road, but its these details that are relevant we feel. Having said the above, we would certainly rebook the accommodation should we ever visit the area again. It was very convenient for travelling to tourist attractions, and the village had all one needed, i.e butchers, convenience store, bakery and two pubs both of which served food. S&D

A comfortable warm and family friendly cottage having all equipment required for an enjoyable stay. Outside space is limited, but dog safe thank you.
The property is well designed, spacious and clean. The enclosed courtyard to the rear is lovely with a canopy where you can sit out even if it rains. The village is exceptional too with a very good butchers, few pubs , great village shop and coffee shop. The communal enclosed field is great if you have dogs. It a great base and easy reach of all amenities Northumberland has to offer. Would definitely recommend and look like to go back in the future .
Claire
Property was very nice and spacious. A very nice welcome gift which was much appreciated. Beds comfortable with good thick towels provided. Good location within an easy drive of coast, castles and other local attractions. a few minor issues which we notified the owner about.
Absolutely beautiful cottage, so comfy and felt just like home! Lovely place to return to after days out at the many places to visit. Our first time in Northumberland and sure it wont be the last!!
A lovely, well equipped cottage in a beautiful village. Village has 2 pubs , corner shop , butcher and a very yummy bakery , all within minutes walk from the front door. There are some good walks to the countryside from the cottage . Would definitely recommend a stay here .
Collette
Beautiful cosy cottage very spacious with all the amenities you need. Lovely log burner and super comfy king size bed. Situated in a lovely little village with 2 pubs, corner shop, butchers and bakery right on your doorstop. Would definitely go back
Stephen
What a fabulous cottage. It is spotlessly clean, well equipped and comfortable. Just one minor issue with the gas bottles was sorted straight away by the friendly owner. No issues with the on the street parking. The only minor disappointments were the two pubs Granby is dog unfriendly and Village has poor beer choice and both are expensive however this is no reflection on the accommodation and we would stay there again in a heartbeat.
The pictures of the property really do not show how spacious and comfortable it is. All the facilities were good. We spent 5 nights there and it has everything you need. It's also in a good location to explore Northumberland. The hosts were very accommodating and happy to help. I've recommended to 2 friends already. Also, there is a Great Pub just down the road called the Village Inn which is dog friendly and does good food. Edendale was perfect for our midweek break.
A simply stunning cottage in a beautiful location with nice pubs, shops and a cafe. The cottage was spotless when we arrived and the owner had left a bottle of fizz for us which was most appreciated. Bedrooms were gorgeous and the beds really comfortable. All in all a great few days were spent here, thank you. We may well be back in the future as we love the area.
A beautiful, homely cottage, warm and comfortable. We were delighted with the generous welcome pack. Once Terri was aware of a broken blind in the master bedroom it was replaced speedily.
Esther
Edendale is such a gorgeous cottage! So homely and comfortable. And the hosts went above and beyond to make it a wonderful stay. Theyd turned on the lights and the radio so that when we got there it was lovely and cozy. Theyd asked if we wanted red or white wine and Id said not to worry because we dont drink and theyd gone out of their way to provide nonalcoholic fizz along with bread and cheese and grapes. Thats so thoughtful and lovely! Theres all you could need in the kitchen by way of utensils and pans and even cling film and foil etc. Such a well stocked house. The sofas and beds were very comfortable and it was warm and cozy. The bathroom is lovely. Everything is just exactly as youd want it on holiday. So glad to have stayed there and will definitely be booking again!
This is a lovely cottage to stay in, very comfortable and furnished beautifully. The facilities were good and the owner Terri was very welcoming and helpful, especially as we had to call her on a Sunday evening. The village is well supplied with two pubs, a shop and a butchers. The dogs were made to feel welcome at The Village Inn and the Running Fox. There is a designated field in the village for walking the dogs which was great,
Christopher
Excellent property and the host kindly provided lots of treats for us
Delightful cottage. Very accessible owner, who was friendly, helpful and instructive. Have no complaints whatsoever. Outside defies what is inside, very much bigger than you would think.
Joseph
Hi, No problem, Terry the owner in my opinion went the extra mile with a good inclusive welcome pack, and even phoned us in advance to check on Wine preference, the Cottage was immaculate in every way, and the location great for the East Coast Tourist attractions, plus a Pub Restaurant two minutes across the road was a convenient advantage. We would recommend this Cottage every time and will be returning in the future. Mr&Mrs J.B. Nicholson Manchester
Edward
The cottage was immaculate inside when we arrived. It appeared to have been newly decorated throughout, the beds were very comfortable with high quality linen. It is situated on the main road with the advantage of an excellent pub restaurant immediately opposite as well as a really good cafcoffee shop and village store within a short distance. However, there is only a narrow pavement and there is inevitable traffic noise. There is full central heating and a log burning stove but we found the bedrooms became very warm. On our arrival there were no instructions or information sheets at all. This meant we had to find things such as the wifi password on the router or the heating controls for ourselves. Much more detail would be very helpful. The kitchen is generally wellequipped but the pans are all large and heavy so need some trial and error on older electric hobs. The oven grill was very weak and strangely there was no grill pan or ovenware other than a large casserole dish. The location is convenient for both the stunning Northumberland coast or inland attractions.
Jessica
Lovely warm cottage, clean and tidy. Really enjoyed our stay. Good choice of local attractions within a short drive.
A lovely cottage in a lovely village. Our main problem was trying to get the ovenstove to work. Which we failed to do. Nothing wrong with the oven I believe, but an issue re setting the oven clock to get the thing to work. Never managed to figure this out and the instructions in the cottage information book was confusing. Unfortunately the landlady was away for a couple of days and then we were out a lot, so we went able to meet so she could she us what to do she did offer. The Granby pub directly opposite the cottage is ok, feel a good pint, though we were disappointed with the limited range of takeaway options, with rather strange options for pizza. Oh and the key box, is a box that contains the house key, it is not an electronic system to unlock the door as we originally thought! Otherwise we had a lovely time
Lorraine
The cottage is situated in a lovely village. The cottage is is very homely. We loved the lounge with its log burner. We could not work out how to use the oven and the owner came out immediately. Bread, wine grapes and flowers were waiting for us
Victoria
The cottage was lovely and clean and the beds were really comfortable. We had a really warm welcome when we arrived with music playing and bread and wine out on the table. It was perfect for what we needed that week and we would definitely visit again.
