The cottage was lovely and ideal for 2 people. The living room was spacious. The kitchen was galley style and had everything you could want. We struggled a bit with the gas ovens but managed it after some trial and error. Bed was very comfortable. Location in Alnwick was ideal. Not having a dedicated parking space could be an issue but we managed by moving the car between several long term parking sites. Alnwick is a delightful town, with several good restaurants. It is an excellent base for exploring the nearby coast and countryside. Our main issue was the noise levels. The cottage was on more of a main road than we had thought and the traffic first thing in the morning was quite heavy. We are not used to that level of traffic. Also, on our first night there was a lot of noise till early in the morning from rge nearby pub, but then England was playing. The rest of the week the evenings were fine.

Weve stayed in Crier cottage several times. It is in an excellent position, near all facilities and is comfortable, well furnished and equipped. The only problem this year was parking. The free car park round the corner is in a very bad condition now with deep ruts and potholes. We were not always able to find a space there. Other parking spots are limited.

House was great. Central location. Clean and warm. Well equipped. What more could you want?? Owner was really accommodating when we wanted to extend our stay.

Enjoyed our visit. It was our third visit over 11 years. Thank you for your generosity in finding and returning the binoculars. It is very well placed and has all the facilities needed for a lovely break. We enjoyed v hot weather.

A lovely property in an excellent location comfortable sofas and beds, good shower, we loved the pictures & map on walls. Galley kitchen took a bit of adjusting to but fine. Nice to have outside space and a washing line. Would definitely return.

Crier Cottage is extremely well located to visit the beautiful Northumberland and so close to a great range of eateries and amenities. I would recommend The Market Tavern and Mumbai as well as Carlos for the fish and chips. We enjoyed watching a film at The Playhouse on the day it rained. Everyone in Alnwick was so friendly and welcoming. Parking was never an issue. The cottage itself was clean, comfortable, spacious for the 2 of us. The beds were comfortable, there were a lot of cupboards in the bedrooms and the cupboard in the entrance allowed us to store shoes and coats, there was hot water at all times, we enjoyed being in the courtyard for a drink after a long walking or visiting day. The welcome pack was a very nice touch and the instructions and recommendations in the folder useful. Thank you for a great stay.

This was our second visit to Cryer cottage so we knew what to expect. The location is excellent and there is free parking nearby. The cottage is comfortable and well equipped. On the negative side we think it is over priced. I dread to think what it will cost next year.

Great location. Everything worked and the equipment was as promised. We had a couple of issues which we have already communicated about with the owner. We were very happy with his response. We really enjoyed the totality of our stay in Alnwick and will return to the area if we can find some spare time in the next couple of years.

Very comfortable, cottage near to all amenities in Alnwick. Well equipped kitchen for self catering. 24 hour free parking is just a few minutes away. Great location for exploring the beautiful Northumberland coast. Highly recommended.

Lovely cottage equipped with everything we needed for our stay. Very clean with comfortable beds. Central location with two good pubs less than a minute walk away and several restaurants within walking distance.

Lovely and clean , well equipped. Lack of parking was no real problem .

We had a fabulous week in Alnwick. The location of the cottage was so central, which we loved. Plenty of bars and shops. We visited the Playhouse twice, once for a play and for the cinema, excellent venue. Barter books is definitely worth a visit. Beautiful walks around Caster and Alnmouth. The cottage was very well equipped and comfortable. Thank you so much! Definitely recommend.

This is our second stay at Crier Cottage. The cottage facilities were were very good as were the local amenities. Alnwick is a good centre for accessing other parts of Northumberland . Our only downside was the very loud music karaoke from the pub on the corner till early morning on the Sunday.

Superb very comfortable and cosy cottage in the centre of Alnwick. Cannot fault the facilities or location. Parking nearby with no problems. Plenty of places to eat and drink in Alnwick on the doorstep.

Nice cottage in a handy location for the town centre. Had everything we needed for a weeks stay. The downside of the location is the occasional passing noise from traffic or passers by.

Great cottage lovely rooms, comfortable beds, good radiators on the rare occasions we used them. Alnwick is an excellent base as well we used the local bus system a lot, visiting nearby towns and villages, but also spent time in Alnwick, which has good pubs, restaurants and shops in addition to the castle and the fascinating Alnwick gardens.

Excellent property with nice welcome pack. I wouldn't bother trying to park on the recommended street but car parks are close enough.

We had a brilliant week at Crier Cottage. It had everything we needed and a lovely basket of goodies when we arrived. We did lots of walking and everything we wanted to visit or see was within reasonable distance. Many Thanks for letting us stay.

Criers cottage was a great place to stay, its ideal for a couple or a family with a couple of young kids. Its very convenient for the excellent Alnwick town centre and therefore can be a little noisy a times, it didnt bother us at all and I guess if you are looking at booking such a convenient property it wont bother you either. We will definitely return.

Its a very comfortable, well appointed cottage in an excellent location. We had everything we needed. Kitchen was excellent. The only negative I would mention is the towels. After only one use, one of the small hand towels developed a bad smell, a sweaty feet smell. Later in the week a couple of other towels began to smell. Its very strange as everything else was fine.

Lovely stay at Crier Cottage. Very clean & very well equipped with everything you need for a perfect stay with nice comfy beds. Close to shops, restaurants & pubs just a short walk away. We had great days out to Seahouses, Amble, Holy Island is a must see & Berwick. Visited Craiser on the way home for the famous kippers. 1st time in Northumberland & would return. Crier Cottage was a wonderful place to stay perfectly situated, extremely comfortable, very functional, pleasantly decorated, and a lovely place to return to each day. We would definitely consider returning here should we return to Northumberland.

Have stayed at the cottage many times and always have a good holiday. It is comfortable, clean, good selection in the welcome pack an ideal base for looking around Northumberland. Only one problem this year, the washing machine didn't seem to be working properly. I left a note for the cleaners and mentioned it in the Visitors book so I'm sure it will be sorted by the owners.

This is the 2nd time we have been to Crier Cottage 5 years in between. Just as perfect as before. Very clean & comfortable. Very well equipped. Everything you could need & some lovely touches. The welcome pack much appreciated. Lovely little courtyard out the back. Perfect location right in the centre of beautiful Alnwick. Would highly recommend to friends & family.

Crier Cottage is a beautiful place and ideally located to explore the nearby area. We visited lots of places, never having to drive more than 40 minutes to reach anywhere. On arrival the Cottage was spotlessly clean and well furnished with a lovely welcome pack. We found it warm and comfortable with everything we needed. Will definitely return!

Lovely boutique cottage. The rear courtyard was just wonderful and as the weather so warm we ate all our meals out here. It was a peaceful retreat and the hanging baskets were gorgeous.

What a wonderful cottage! We were lucky enough to be able to stay in this warm, clean, cosy and pretty place just before the country was placed in lockdown. On arrival we knew we had made a good choice as the place was clean, fresh looking and just so inviting.. It has all the amenities you need such as a washing machine and dishwasher and a fantastic little outside area. Above all the property is a stones throw away from Alnwick. If anyone feels jaded and needs a pick me up then please give this place a try. We were world weary on arrival and left feeling soothed.

A traditional, stone built, terraced style cottage, in a very central, but surprisingly quiet location. The property is clean, nicely furnished, and well equipped. The welcome pack is a nice touch.
