Craster Tower Penthouse Reviews

Had a fantastic long weekend. The family were very welcoming and helpful. The property was wonderful. Would love to go back.
Maureen
Fabulous historic property, in a beautiful part of the country, with lots of things to do in the immediate area. The owners couldn't have been more helpful, from the initial tour, giving us the family history, to solving a minor issue that arose. Would thoroughly recommend this beautiful apartment.
Briony
We had a lovely family holiday at Craster Tower. Very comfortable, spacious, well equipped and cared for. It was perfectly placed for exploring the Northumberland coast and lovely to return to in the evenings. Thoroughly recommend and hope to return at some point in the future.
Great place for family and friends. Excellent facilities and lovely large kitchen, but would have really appreciated some roasting tins or trays and baking tins.
Siobhan
It was amazing to be able to stay in such a historic property. The settling of the crows in the trees in the evening was incredibly atmospheric. We thoroughly enjoyed predinner drinks and post dinner games in the drawing room situated in the C14th tower. There are so many rooms and seating areas, we could all be alone when desired. Craster Tower is well situated for coastal walking and for impressive castles and gardens. We had a great holiday and hope to be back!
The historical value of this property is amazing to stay in a castle penthouse was fantastic. Mrs Craster and her daughters are such lovely friendly people nothing is a bother to them. We just loved afternoon tea in the drawing room which was just so beautiful luckily we had the sun too. We will return.
Christopher
A wonderful relaxing stay in a family home full of charm and history. Very friendly hosts.
Very comfortable, beautiful rooms, great location. Will definitely be back!
The owner met us on arrival, showed us around , gave us a wonderful introduction to the property. We had booked the stay as somewhere to celebrate our golden wedding anniversary with family and it was the perfect place. The only niggle and not in anyway the fault of Mrs Craster , the owner, was that on arrival we were charge 20 for each of the two dogs and nowhere in the description or the breakdown of the fee we had paid. Surely this should be mentioned in the info?
A very comfortable property, well appointed and equipped. The host was very welcoming when we arrived and took us through everything we needed to know.
This was an amazing experience! The Castle with its amazing building authentic furniture took you back in time ! The grand piano and the open fire were another addition to the grandeur and cosey ness of this amazing place. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and Mrs Craster took us in a tour to explore the beauty of this place. Thank you for your hospitality!!
Denise
We thoroughly enjoyed the spacious and well equipped castle, as my granddaughter labelled it. Michael and Fiona had supplied a number of extras which the children loved and benefitted from toys, steps, toddler toilet seat, buckets, spades, nets, slide and trampoline to name but a few. The configuration of the property allowed 3 families to be together and still have their own space when needed. Thank you so much to Michael and Fiona, whose attention before and during our holiday was reassuring but unobtrusive. All in all it was perfect!
Jennifer
Fiona & Michael were extremely welcoming. Craster Tower Penthouse had all the magic for our Grandaughter & family of staying in a castle but also with the additional feeling of home from home. Very spacious & well equipped including lots of extras. The buckets & spades gave us loads of pleasure on the beach even in February & the trampoline was a great hit. Very dogfriendly too. Just lovely. Would highly recommend. Was a very special stay for all the family.
Lots of space in this property which is full of character. The owners live on the site and were very helpful and welcoming. Very well equipped kitchen. An excellent base for exploring the Northumberland coast.
Fantastic Property with absolutely loads of room, the owners could not have been more friendly. Great location to explore the wonders of Northumberland
Craster Tower is a really special place. The location is superb, being just outside the bustling village of Craster, yet within a few minutes&39 walk. The accommodation is fabulous and the owner&39s welcome and initial tour of the property second to none. We will definitely be returning, and the next visit can&39t come soon enough!
It&39s an excellent property, combining the comfort and grandeur of a stately home which is what it is with modern facilities and accoutrements.
Very comfortable , thoughtfully and excellently equipped. The furniture and furnishings were reminiscent of a home not just a holiday home.
Excellent property lovely spacious rooms and very well equipped kitchen. Good location with the coast within walking distance of the property.
An amazing property which allowed us to feel that we were living in the lap of luxury in a quiet and beautiful setting. The owners are very welcoming.
The accommodation was spacious, appointed to an excellent standard, with lovely touches. The beds were comfortable, the Kitchen had everything in it you could need, and the towels were fluffy!
