About Charles Dickens House

Charles Dickens House is a beautifully renovated Georgian building sitting in the heart of Alnmouth village on the Northumberland coast. Steps from the sandy beach and the peaceful estuary where the River Aln meets the sea, this is a genuinely special place to stay. It sleeps six adults across three bedrooms and has been finished to a high standard throughout.

Alnmouth is a quiet coastal village with pubs and bistros on the Main Street just moments away. The estuary is right on your doorstep with a small seating area overlooking the water. Superb coastal walks start literally from the front door and the nine-hole golf course one of England's oldest is in the village itself.

Three bedrooms sleep six adults: one super-king with en-suite shower and WC plus two king-size rooms sharing a family bathroom with shower over bath. The bespoke kitchen has a dual electric oven, dishwasher, wine cooler and coffee machine. The lounge features a 65-inch Sky Glass TV and wall-mounted gas fire.

Alnwick Castle is a short drive upriver. Warkworth's medieval castle is just south. Amble fishing village offers boat trips to Coquet Island for birdwatching. All within easy reach.

Adults-only and no hot tub. Charles Dickens House suits groups of six wanting a luxury coastal base with parking, beach access and Northumberland's best sights on the doorstep.
