Apple Tree Lodge Reviews

Justine
We had a lovely week in Apple Tree Lodge. There were 3 adults, 1 child and 1 dog in our party and the accommodation worked really well for us. The lodge was very warm and comfortable with a well equipped kitchen and modern bathrooms. Coming from London, we liked the farm location and the owner, Mrs Procter, could not have been more helpful. Would definitely stay again. Many thanks!
Everything was good, including the weather! Not the most convenient of locations but everything else was perfect. The house was clean and spacious although Im not sure what it would be like for six. Great for us though. Enjoyed the whole week, thank you!
An absolutely beautiful property with all the amenities required for a pleasant stay clean, comfortable and perfectly situated for exploring the Northumberland Coastline thoughtful touches such as bacon, eggs, milk and cakes upon arrival added to the welcoming atmosphere of the lodge, the photos don't do it justice! We thoroughly enjoyed our week and would definitely recommend this property Lorna and Mark
Sometimes when you book these stays its a bit hit and miss if the pictures are accurate. This was such a lucky find. So nice and peaceful.Mrs Proctor was so welcoming and accommodating. Had all the amenities we needed. Close enough to all the beaches and castles and a lovely cafe down the Road called Nelsons. I will definitely be back here soon.

Clear instructions on what is requested from guests upon departure. Inaccurate listing within the Sykes property details tea towels were provided. Overall a very comfortable property in a quiet location, with a lovely view. Would highly recommend.

Beautiful lodge in a lovely setting, so quiet and peaceful. The lodge was beautifully clean and had all the facilities and extra items to make it home from home. The owner, Mrs Proctor, is really friendly and approachable if you should need any information or assistance. The welcome pack of provisions was a lovely thought and very much appreciated.
Apple tree lodge was a very well equipped and comfortable accommodation for our family in beautiful surroundings
Lovely stay in a wonderful setting. Very large lodge and peaceful and quiet. Fantastic views and great location. Lovely hosts who made us feel very welcome.
Apple Tree Lodge was perfect for our multigenerational needs. The consistent internal temperatures were unaffected by the fluctuating outside temperatures that occur in late autumn. Everything worked fine as we were able to access the instruction manuals. We loved the quietness, the amazing thick curtains, the dark skies, and the views. We all slept like logs. Thank you too for the thoughtful complimentary items, they were well received. We loved our stay so much the consensus was we would have liked to bring the lodge home with us.
Lovely property and hosts ! Ideally situated for visiting coast and sights will definitley be returning.
Andrea

Wonderful! Lovely and peaceful surroundings. Luxurious property, very well equipped and very clean. For those who can't cope with stairs, the downstairs bedroom & ensuite are perfect and with a wonderful shower. The owners are very warm, friendly & approachable and extremely helpful. If we ever holiday in that area again we would have no hesitation in booking again.
Terence

Karina
Extremely clean and comfortable. Great location to easily get about by car to local attractions and the local shop. Slept amazing! Very comfortable beds and fantastic water pressure in the shower. Would highly recommend.
We booked this cottage as my older Uncle and Aunt wanted to see Northumberland and it is ideally placed to visit many locations. What a great find. The lodge was perfect. Can easily sleep 6 adults and has 2 shower rooms and a bathroom. So comfortable and well equipped. Dianne is an absolute darling and ensures everything is as she would want it. Unlike many self catered properties she supplied us with milk, bacon, orange juice, fruit bread, tea and coffee along with the more practical tea towels, cloths, dishwasher tablets and washing up liquid. Wifi was good too so no worries if your phone signal isn't great in that area. To top it off we had the most gorgeous pair of twin lambs to entertain us each day. The 4 of them escaped their Mum's a few times and played in front of the lodge. Dianne also sent her husband over to dig me some wild garlic for my garden. They honestly couldn't do enough for us. Would highly recommend and hope to go back.
Apple Tree Lodge was very comfortable in all ways and excellently fitted out with everything that you would need for an enjoyable stay, particularly in the kitchen where there is ample cutlery, crockery and utensils. Nothing is worse than having to run the dishwasher every day. There is more than enough outdoor space for pets to run free, especially, I imagine in the summer months, are stay was over Christmas. All in all a very enjoyable stay.
Stuart Henry
Wonderful stay in a wellpositioned lodge. Clean, modern, quiet and stressfree stay well within reach of the coastal towns nearby. Welcome pack on arrival with plenty of goodies. Highly recommended
Wow what a place! ! We have just returned from the best week at Apple Tree Lodge. The lodge is in a perfect, central location to visit the beaches and castles northumberland has to offer. The lodge has a huge garden, fabulous for the kids to play on! Inside it is spacious, clean and homely. We arrived to bacon, sausage, eggs, bread, milk and wine which was a lovely, thoughtful touch. We were lucky to stay next to a family who had been visiting the lodges for 9 years in a row who gave us some great recommendations to visit in the area. A great place to visit with the family.

The property is in a beautiful location away from any hustle and bustle but is in a great location for exploring Northumberland. We had a fantastic family holiday. The facilities are simply perfect.
Lovely property in a beautiful location, very well equipped. The owners are nearby and nothing is too much trouble. Definitely highly recommended.
We had a wonderful week at Apple Tree Lodge. Wonderful surroundings and a great base for exploring Northumberland. The lodge was spotless and the owners were very friendly. The farmer let our children feed the lambs with milk which they loved! If youre looking for a beautiful and peaceful stay not too far from amenities then Apple Tree Lodge is perfect!
Alexis

Beautiful location and totally relaxed week.

We booked this lodge last minute for a few days break. The lodge was perfect. The owner, Mrs Proctor had done everything to make our stay comfortable and safe with the added touch of milk, tinned biscuits, wine and cake. The lodge is close to places to visit and a lovely pub in Felton. Lots of walks to go on. We will certainly be going back. Thank you
Maureen
The cottage and location were excellent, very clean and tidy and everything worked as it should do. Apart from the lock in the main bathroom which had to have a good slam to make it shut.l know l should have mentioned it to Mrs Proctor but we didn't get the opportunity. Other than that everything else was great and we look forward to going back next year.
There are so many things to love about this property. Spotlessly clean with crisp white bed linen, fluffy towels, top quality furnishings and every home comfort thought of such as fresh milk, wine and a fruit cake awaiting when we arrived. Friendly helpful owners, and what a setting the really well kept grounds perfect for sitting out on the decking and peacefully enjoying the Northumberland countryside.
Nicola
