Great property and comes with a useful parking permit much needed in busy Alnmouth. Property benefits from a good central heating system and has all usual amenities. The property is extremely clean and welcoming. Weve stayed here a number of times and have always had good contact from the owner. Close to everything you need, pubs, restaurants, shops and the beautiful Alnmouth beach.

Perfect Property! Alnbank is wonderful. It is extremely well set up to make your stay as relaxing as possible. Steve really has thought of everything. He even bothered to make personal contact to check we had settled in ok. It is a very warm, comfortable and stylish property. We really enjoyed eating dinner n the open plan kitchen area. Had it been warmer we would also have enjoyed sitting outside. Next time! The location is fabulous a 5 minute walk to the gorgeous beach and there are coffee shops and pubs also only minutes away. I have already recommended this property to others and certainly plan to return myself. Thank you, Steve!

Accommodation is an integral part of any holiday and poor digs can put a downer on any trip away. However, Alnbank is a well appointed, comfortable apartment that was a pleasure to come back to every day.

Third stay at this beautiful property and have already booked our fourth, think that speaks volumes. Lovely comfortable accommodation only a 2 minute walk from the beach. Well equipped with some lovely touches like warm cosy throws, selection of board games and a coffee machine. Owners are so friendly and approachable, ready to help in any way they can to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Cant wait to return.

We enjoyed a lovely 2 night stay in this immaculate, well equipped and stylish apartment. Close to local beaches and restaurants and ideal for exploring the local area. The only niggle was some noise from the upstairs apartment quite late at night but totally accept this is the nature of staying in an apartment! Would definitely return!

Alnbank is a ground floor flat just one road back from the seafront. It is nicely furnished with a very modern kitchen and bathroom. A parking permit is included which is very convenient. Friendly and helpful support from the owner was provided throughout our stay. Top notch!

The apartment is lovely, larger than you would think and has everything you need for a comfortable stay thank you for use of a the hairdryer as I forgot mine! it really is 1 minute from the beach or coastal path walks, and a couple of minutes to the shops and pubs loved the Red Lion beer garden which is dog friendly the parking permit is a godsend too. My only complaint was the noise from the apartment above, we could hear every footsteprun up and down, every door slam, chair scrape and drawer opening and shutting which at 7am was particularly annoying. If you are an early riser this accommodation is perfect, if like us you wanted a lie in, perhaps not or rent the first floor apartment.

Alnbank provided us with a spacious, comfortable base a stone's throw from the magnificent beach and local facilities shops and choice of places to eat drink to suit every taste. The hosts, Steve and Jo had thought of everything to make our stay perfect including little touches such as coffee machine, beach chairswind break, blankets to ward of any chill whilst sitting out in the comfortable outdoor space to name but a few. They also checked in on us regularly and listened to any issues we may have had. Parking permit made a stay here a cinch. Thank you.

Had a fabulous 2 weeks at Alnbank. Perfect situation for the shops and pubs and especially the beach. The apartment is lovely, warm and cosy and everything has been thought of. The owners are brilliant, they check by text regularly to see if you need anything which is great. Would definitely go again and would recommend it to anyone

Just back from five days at Alnbank and we loved it! The cottage is literally a minute from the amazing sandy Alnmouth beach. Inside is bright, modern and clean, with everything we could need and then some! The outside area was just right for enjoying the morning coffee. The bed was comfy and the shower fantastic. The open layout with the skylights was genius Huge shoutout to Steve and Joanne, they were always on hand with tips, quick replies, and checkins to make sure we were sorted. The rain and the wind was unfortunate but staying in this lovely spot saved the trip, cant recommend it enough!

Alnbank 2A is a spacious & well equipped apartment. It is close to the beach and local amenities. Parking outside the property with a permit was trouble free. We enjoyed a great week in Northumberland. However, trying to make contact with a person at Sykes proved to be frustrating. A combination of Message, WhatsApp, Email & the Sykes website was confusing & drawn out, when a simple phone call could have made our request to add on extra days. It seemed Sykes did not want to speak directly to a customer.

Apartment was in a great location in Alnmouth just a 2 min walk to the fantastic beach and pubs and shops. The apartment was well equipped for our stay if perhaps a little cluttered and lacking storage in the kitchen and bathroom. Noise from upstairs apartment somewhat disturbed our stay but minor irritation so would recommend to all.

We've stayed in both upper and lower Alnbank over the years and will no doubt return again. Lovely clean spacious flat, extreamly clean and well decorated. 2 min walk from the main street and the beautiful beach. One thing that could be improved is the cleaning of the front garden. Its a lovely sun trap with a seat and would be a pleasant place to sit. However there was piles of pigeon mess that have built up over a period, this is an easy fix and with a bit of regular maintenace would enhance what is a superb property in a beautiful area.

Lovely light flat in a great location. Great kitchenbathroom. Only negative was central heating wasn't working when we got there so it was 11 degrees in flat. A call to the landlord got the boiler going, but the kitchen radiators never really heated up in the 4 days we were there so we didn't sit in kitchen.

A great property which we have rented before. Spacious, modern and well equiped for the two of us the dog!. The apartment was clean and comfortable, and despite our stay being in November, was pleasantly warm with a modern Nest thermostat to control the heating. The property is literally a two minute walk from Alnmouth's fantastic beach. And while this is not a complaint, I feel it worth mentioning that being a ground floor apartment, a degree of noise from the first floor occupants might be expected. Overall though, a great place to stay!

Lovely property and 2 minute walk to the beach. Kitchen is well equipped and living room is cosy. Some lovely touches like a collection of board games and spare throws and blankets make it a lovely home from home. Will definitely be booking again for our 3rd visit .

As weve been here before we knew what to expect. Yet again we werent disappointed. The kitchen is very well equipped, including dishwasher tablets, cleaning products etc which you dont always get in a rental. All areas are of the flat are very clean, tidy and very comfortable. Positioned very near the beach, pubs and restaurants of Alnmouth. A lovely weekend break pity we couldnt have stayed longer. We will be back very soon. Thank you

The main bed was so creaky ,turning over or going to the toilet woke the other person . We decamped to the small bedroom but the bed was too small for my husband.As a result we slept in separate rooms.The mattresses which I gather are relatively new were not very comfortable perhaps a mattress topper would help.Sleep is very important so we would not return to Alnbank. Its the first holiday cottage we've stayed in where there wasnt a pint of milk in the fridge.Im not concerned about a welcome pack but that would be helpful. If I could rate this property and owner more than a 10 I would. Steve definitely went over and above the call of duty. Helping two oldies to get the tv up and running! Technology definitely fails us! After trying to help over the phone he took a 35 minute drive on a Saturday when traffic would be busy to our apartment to solve the problem which I am certain was not the tv but us! This is a well located property in a lovely village by the sea. The village is just off the A1 so it is easy to get wherever you want to visit. The property has plenty of space and has all mod cons you need. Excellent value for money.

A lovely comfortable ground floor apartment with plenty of space, well equipped kitchen, very nice bathroom with bath and large walk in shower, and location ideal for a beach holiday. A bonus was a parking permit.

One problem at an otherwise perfect stay. I chose to use the bath, unfortunately on completion I could not get out I was stuck. Shouting to my wife who came to my rescue. Im 83 my wife is 82 the bath is deep and wide witch prevented me getting purchase power. Whilst at the time it was laughable it could have turned into a situation.

The flat was a great size for our family. Really well set out and really comfortable. Brilliant location, 50 metres from the beach for great dog walks and just around the corner from the some nice shops, cafes and pubs. We had a great time and would return.

This is our 2nd stay at Alnbank and we l9ved it just as much this time as the 1st. The closeness to the beach fir our aging Labrador was perfect he found a new spring in his step which was fabulous to see. The house its self is spacious, warm and cosy and has everything you need you make you comfortable. As with other reviews and from staying at the property previously, I really think it's time to purchase a new oven, although there are instructions I found them difficult to translate to the actual dials on the oven. The 1st night after a few changes on the dials we got the oven working fine, 2nd night I just couldn't get the right combination and it ran cold for a long time until I twiddle a bit more. We stayed at Alnbank for a week, with the dog, It is in a perfect location just off the main street and only a very short walk to the beach. It was very clean, all the mod cons you could ask for. The kitchen was a lot bigger than we expected and the bathroom heated floor was very nice. Will definitely look to stay again in up in that area again.

We enjoyed our stay at Alnbank, which was nice and clean. The kitchen would benefit from a few more utensils, e.g. tongs, additional frying pans, baking trays and a new oven as the dials were worn off and the oven linings were very loose. The double bed was very creaky and the mattresses were very thin on all the beds. Overall we enjoyed our stay and with a few improvements it would be great.

Alnbank is a home from home property. Very comfortable, everything provided that you could possibly need. Very comprehensive instructions for appliances etc. very close to the beach and local amenities. Close to station and bus stops. Would definitely stay here again.

We generally really liked and enjoyed the property, especially as it was only two minutes from the beach, so handy for dog walking. It was pleasantly and comfortably decorated and furnished, and well equipped. Our only criticismssuggestions, which were very minor, would be the redecoration of the shared entrance hall, the provision of decorative garden lighting for the rear terrace, the provision of more than one loo roll, and perhaps the provision of a kitchen roll. And finally, we must mention the locals...Wonderfully friendly and approachable!

Apartment had everything we needed, helpful owner and great location. Would recommend.

The Yard and garden furniture was dirty and unkempt. The kitchen was dated,needed a good clean and Makeover. The oven grill did not work and the set points on the controls were unreadable.Parking was quite tight and we did not get a permit from the owner.On a whole I not feel it was worth the money we spend staying there. We have payed less for a better standard of accommodation at peak times in Northumberland.
