The views make this place special they are stunning both front and back. The accommodation Is very well laid out been an upside down house makes the best of the views. There was everything needed to have a relaxing holiday and the accommodation was clean and tidy there was a few scuffs and marks but what do you expect when different people are coming and going. Would definitely recommend this property. Thank you for the wine and goodies on arrival.
Great accommodation as have stayed previously and already booked for next year. A little attention to more detail is required , More mugs are needed as only 6 left and more teaspoons could be helpful. The dishwasher is difficult to close and has damaged the cupboards to each side of it. Some deep cleaning would enhance the property like cleaning seals around the showers and the windows, scuffed paintwork etc inside but this does not detract from the overall experience. Remote control for TV is temperamental and might just need new batteries. Pillows in main room could be replaced as a bit flat. These comments are hopefully perceived as constructive feedback as you only identify them when using the accommodation for the rental period
Viewpoint is well named, great views towards the golf club and sea and fabulous sunsets on the other side. We are return visitors and this is an excellent base to visit lots of favourite walks and eating places. A few maintenance issues which I left a note about as it wont stop us returning and I noticed that some issues mentioned by other reviewers had been addressed. We had a great holiday.
Viewpoint was the perfect selection for our stay in Northumberland. An upside down house to take full advantage of the panoramic views to the east and west. Perfect for watching the sun rise and set and overlooking the golf course for endless entertainment. The house is modern and comfortable with everything you could possibly need for a week or more. It is a very peaceful location too with no traffic noise or any other disturbance. Almouth is a good base for exploring the area to the north and south. We would thoroughly recommend this property.
Fabulous house which we felt was nicer, and larger than the photos. Fantastic views on both sides of the property. Easy 15 minute walk into Alnmouth village. Well equipped kitchen. We would love to return.
Perfection. Viewpoint is a fantastic property. We loved our stay.
A return visit for us we love the location. The views from the property are stunning with the open plan living area upstairs.
Wonderful property spotlessly clean, well equipped with amazing views. We had a great time and look forward to visiting again.

Viewpoint is in a great location and is well laid out property. However in terms of equipment, maintenance and cleaning there is a clear lack of attention to detail. Did it spoil our holiday? probably not but a bit of effort and a few quid could really improve the place and our value for money.
Wonderful property in fantastic location. We will definitely be back again next year
Had a great week at Viewpoint. Lovely property with fantastic country and coastal views. The weather gods smiled on us for the first week in March ,great walks from the doorstep and good places to visit in the area.
A property with a perfect name, Viewpoint, sums up this property, the views front and back are spectacular, particularly when the weather is as good as we got. The property itself is ideally located for great walks. The garden is very dog proof and parking is perfect, although street view gave me the complete wrong impression. This is a property we would love to return to, as long as our puppy doesn't grow too much!
We have stayed here a few times now. The house suits us perfectly. Its a great location and has the things we need. A decent bed. Smart tv, great views, parking, modern feel, spacious its all good. I would have liked a welcome Pack. I know its maybe sometimes a waste but a bottle of wine just makes it more welcoming and Id have enjoyed a glass or two to mark the first night. Its a small issue though.
Absolutely stunning views, a really light, modern and comfortable cottage. An excellent position with a good walk into Alnmouth, we enjoyed walking in across the beach and back across the coastal path. We were so lucky to see the Aurora on two nights. Would love to visit again with friends, parking is for one car only though. Am guessing a welcome pack is no longer provided.
Claire
Wow! Amazing views of coast and country. Beautiful accommodation, the best we have visited in Northumberland.
This was our third visit the views are outstanding, watching the golfers with the sea in the distance in one direction and across the valley to Alnwick in the other Viewpoint had everything we needed and the location is perfect both as a base for exploring or just walking the circuit to Alnmouth and back along the beach.
Anthony
We had a delightful week at Viewpoint which surpassed our expectations particularly the spectacular 360 degree views from the upstairs lounge area. It made a handy base to explore the North East and we plan to return. Our only gripe was that Sykes website denied us the possibility of contacting the owners directly to discuss a specific matter prior to arrival, the list of questions we were allowed to ask was too generic.
As many reviews already state Viewpoint met our expectations and more. The house is very comfortable, cosy and well equipped though a few covered microwave dishes and towel hook in utility would be useful. The location is perfect offering walks from the doorstep to be able to walk into Alnmouth via road or coastal path was a real bonus. The views are wonderful great to have Juliet balcony and the enclosed garden is well maintained a lovely private space complete with table and chairs. Clean and bright with comfy beds. Easy to find using Satnav. Our expectations were exceeded and we would definitely stay again.
Really lovely accommodation and as described. Had everything we needed for our stay, and a comfortable place to unwind. Gorgeous sea view!
Laurent
Great property and location. The cleanliness wasn't so great. Lots of cob webs in corners and we had to clean drawers in bedrooms before putting clothes in them. The alarm sensors, especially in the bedroom are a genuine issue. They flash very bright blue light everytime someone moves, so it's difficult to sleep. It woke me up several times during the night. On balance, however, this property is well appointed and the views from the first floor are superb.
Angela
This is a lovely house in a great location with breath taking views out to see. Ideally situated to explore the Northumberland coastline. Very cosy the house has everything you need. It took us a bit to find it but lesson learnt just follow sat nav as takes right outside the house!! Black out blinds would be a welcome addition but would not put me off returning!!
Fabulous cottage in a stunning location. Views are fantastic and the house is well equipped. Fully enclosed garden was a real asset for us as we have a dog. We will definitely revisit in the future.
Fantastic location and views. The house is immaculate. Beautifully furnished, with so many extras. Everything you could think of including lovely welcome gifts. Owners very friendly and helpful.

Beautiful property,Spotless. Very comfy and cosy.Fabulous views.Loved it.Would stay again.Friendly owner.Thank you
Stephen
The house was lovely and as described. However, there were a number of issues. We could not check in until 4pm by which time it was dark we drove past the property 3 times before we found it. You could easily put a clearer sign outside and some lighting. Having failed to find it I phoned both numbers given at exactly 5pm but nobody answered. Not helpful! The property was unpleasantly cold on arrival and did not heat up until late in the evening. The hot water was only tepid. We eventually reported this and it was fixed quickly after we raised the issue. The property looked well cleaned but there was a used pair of underpants under one of the beds in the twin room and twice I found a slug in the bathroom of the double room. Most comments in the visitors book mentioned a welcome pack we didnt even get a carton of milk and did not feel welcomed. The owner only lived next door and said he hadnt realised we were arriving on the day we did. In fact he rang the agents to say no one had arrived despite the fact our car was parked outside and we had arrived the previous evening. We had a lovely week in Alnmouth and the house was actually great it was just not a very welcoming start.
We stayed at Viewpoint for New Year and had a great time. The property was clean and really comfortable. Great for walks on the beach and popping into the village. The views are wonderful and being able to see the sunrise each morning was just perfect. I would book this property again.
The property was beautiful, cosy and clean with magnificent views. Would definitely stay here again.
We had a fantastic week The views were amazing and the layout of the house worked a treat for our family. The weather wasn't great but inside it was cosy. It's perfectly positioned to just wander down to the beach, or to explore a plethora of brilliant attractions just a few minutes drive away. We ate in most nights and the kitchen was great a few more serving bowls would have helped but a minor point. It's a wonderful place and perfect for a stay in any season. Would highly recommend and we'd be back in a heartbeat.
Roderick
Very comfortable and clean. Equipped with everything needed. Welcome pack with wine included. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The owner also super helpful in returning something we left behind at the property.
The best we have very stayed at this our second visit. Beds comfy, amazing views both sides, quiet, there are no negatives. We will be back
We loved Viewpoint, everything we hoped it would be, lovely views
We certainly enjoyed our stay at Viewpoint. If visiting that area again would not hesitate to return.
Second stay here, will definitely stay again if listed
Absolutely gorgeous place to stay, the views were stunning. Loved having the beautiful beach so close. Comfy beds, very clean everywhere and we had no issues. The only slight improvement would be a few more mugs and roasting dishes as we ate in quite a lot.
Beautiful accommodation, in the perfect spot. Incredible views front and back of rolling countryside one way and the sea on the other. Very quiet so perfect for relaxing. Would return in a heartbeat. Excellent customer service from Sykes too.
Excellent property in a great location.
Josephine
We love the upstairs room,so comfortable, full of light and with stunning views. This goes some way to make up for the lack of appealing outside space. We are sorry that dogs are now accepted. It shows on the windows, doors and furnishings. I had some bites and caught a flea in the hall. Regarding the front door and mat this is the second property in Alnmouth where cleanliness here has been overlooked. First impressions count for a lot. Despite these shortcomings, we do hope to return next year.
Overall, the stay was really good lovely house and perfect location. Id suggest a quick look at the dishwasher door as it is catching on the cupboard next to it and will end up causing damage. We also struggled in the mornings as the blinds in the master bedroom let in lots of light! Hoping that we will be able to stay at Viewpoint again as it is in a perfect location for us.
Nothing I can write will do Viewpoint enough justice . Its top end , modern , comfortable and a very enjoyable place to stay. The effort that the owners have put in to fit this property with top quality fixtures , facilities and extreme good looks shows that they completely understand their market . The view out to the North Sea over a golf course is stunning . Alnmouth is a 10 minute walk away and stunning with a beautiful long beach . The owners take great pride in their wonderful house at Viewpoint and are fantastic people who leave a little gift for arrival. We absolutely loved it and did not want to leave and ironically, circumstances dictated that we needed to extend our stay , both Sykes and the owners were brilliant sorting it within a few hours . We will definitely return to Viewpoint , if were lucky enough to find a vacancy .
