Very comfortable, well equipped house in lovely area. Beautiful surrounding scenery. Location is superb for exploring the area.
Christine
The Old Mill in Rock is warm, comfortable. well-equipped and in a quiet location close to Alnwick and all the local attractions. This was our fourth visit and we'll be back again next year as it suited all the needs of our multigenerational family.
Catherine
Ideal for multi-generation holidays , there is lots to do in nearby locations for all ages
Hector
Great house in perfect location near the sea and the A1. Generously equipped with almost everything you will need. We had five adults, two kids and a baby and all had loads of space and privacy. Would definitely stay here again.
Jacquelyn
As a three generation family, space and comfort were top priorities for us and this holiday home is the best we have stayed in. The location is fine for getting to the beach or exploring inland though a car is a necessity. We have booked again next year and highly recommend.
Karen
An absolute stunning property in an idyllic setting with outstanding views. We were unlucky that the weather wasn't warm enough for us to sit out on the veranda and appreciate the open countryside. Also unfortunately though we were unable to enjoy the Welcome Bag as the cordial bottle had been badly chipped and had leaked everywhere, we had to throw everything as it was one big sticky mess. We wouldn't hesitate in coming back.
Catherine
We had a wonderful stay at The Old Mill - four adults and a lively two-year-old. The house is spacious, beautifully designed, well equipped and set in peaceful countryside making it an ideal retreat. Close to Embleton Bay, Bamburgh, and Alnwick Castle, we had plenty to explore. Highly recommended. Would love to return.
Annette
Beautiful home every thing you could need .A must to do ,walk to local church lots of history on the door step.
Helen
A lovely house, ideal for a large group, sympathetically renovated and clean. Due to its spacious open plan living areas, it worked well for our multi generational group. In a pretty little village, with lots of local walks and not far from beaches. To make future stays perfect, we feel that the owners need to fine tune their provision- the kitchen was poorly equipped and some of the fixtures and fittings needed repairing. With a little more attention to detail, this would be an outstanding property.
Sarah
We had a lovely week at the Old Mill. Itâ??s in a great location with uninterrupted views of open fields with big skies and a lovely outdoor space to sit and listen to the stream. Comfy beds, good showers and large living spaces for family groups. 10 mins drive to Alnwick for shops. Close to the coast. Would recommend!
Philip
Fabulous property in a great location - very handy for many great attractions.
Gordon
The location was exceptional very quite with good views of the fields and the sea in the distance. The whole Faulkner family enjoyed their stay and will visit the area again.
Ves
Weâ??ve had a wonderful stay. The house is very well equipped and the views from some of the bedrooms are simply spectacular! It is spacious, so is very well suited to a holiday shared with family / friends. It is also within short distance of some really beautiful tourist attractions. All in all, one of the best holiday homes we have stayed in, if not, the best.
Christopher
A very well-designed conversion from an old mill to a comfortable modern house. Superbly finished and very well equipped, the house is in a very peaceful location with wonderful views from the balcony (including regular visits from a barn owl). We had a lovely stay and found the location to be ideally suited for exploring Northumberland.
Christine
This was our third visit and, as usual, the property met all our needs. There was plenty of space for our multi generational family consisting of a toddler and his parents and grandparents. In fact, we enjoyed it so much we're planning to return in 2025.
Jan
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Old Mill. The accommodation was spacious and the building has been restored to a very high standard. We would be very happy to make a return visit.
Eleanor
A stunning house which suited our three generations down to the ground. There was plenty of space inside the house for us not to feel on top of each other and it was well equipped apart from we could not find any spare loo rolls and bin liners. We appreciated the Bbq which was not mentioned in the inventory. The views were stunning and we are treated to a barn owl hunting at dusk. We regretted not taking binoculars! The children enjoyed the garden and swing and the location is excellent being close to the beach, Alnwick, and Bamburgh. We certainly hope to return as we had a fabulous holiday.
Fiona
We very much enjoyed our stay at the Old Mill, a lovely quiet setting with beautiful views. We visited Bamburgh castle, Alnwick, the beautiful beaches and had a boat trip round the Farne Islands to see puffins! Would recommend The Jolly Fisherman in Craster for great food.
Irene
Beautiful and spacious house. Tastefully decorated and well equipped. Wouldn't hesitate to return.
Linda
Loved the house. Great location, all the facilities anyone could ask for
