We had a lovely week we couldnt have asked for better weather. The accommodation was great it had everything we wanted and was extremely clean and comfortable. The bifold doors were fantastic. We didnt use the garden as it was too hot to sit out to eat without a sunshade over the table. One niggle was that we were woken very early every day with light coming in via the internal window above the bedroom door. A blackout blind on that would have made all the difference. And you cannot legislate for noisy neighbours on sunny, summer evenings! All in all a great holiday base, so easy to get into Alnwick and to access the A1. The welcome pack was well received, thank you. Plus thanks for getting us in on the first day as Sykes had given us the wrong key code!

Great property. Very well equipped. Clean and comfortable. Only slight negative was late arrival time of 5.30. 4.00 more usual.
Really enjoyed our stay at Trealach House. Very comfortable, had everything that we needed. Ideal location for everywhere that we wanted to visit. Would certainly stay there again.
The house was lovely and comfortable. It was very well equipped with everything we needed. The location was great with off street parking and less that 20 minute walk to the castle gardens and supermarkets very close by. Communication was also brilliant.
We very much enjoyed our visit, it was very comfortable. The bed was comfy and the showers great . Lots to visit in the area , Alnwick Castle and the Alnwick Gardens were amazing.

Had a lovely week at Tearlach House. Accommodation was very comfortable and we had everything we needed. Closeness to M&S foodhall and Sainsburys was a bonus, meant we could shop quickly and then get on with enjoying Northumberland.
Really nice cottage.

Great base to explore. Had everything we needed

Lovely house and lovely and clean, very comfortable, bifolding patios a bonus on hot days would definitely recommend.

We had a lovely time here, it is very close to the town centre and the supermarkets are even closer. The property is very clean, comfortable and modern. It was very nice to have a dishwasher, who wants to wash up when on holiday! The Welcome basket was unexpected and very much appreciated. The property is in a very nice and quiet location.

Unfortunately the weather was pretty dire. Only got one really nice day. A typical English summer and had to leave a day early to sort out a problem at home. House was modern, clean and had all the facilities you would want. Unfortunately we dont like memory foam mattresses just seem to make us uncomfortably hot in the night but realise that we are probably an exception to the rule so not complaining.

The only reason for a slight mark down on comfort were to do with our preferences for bedding. A sheet under the duvet would provide more flexibility when its too warm for the duvet. The pillows were too soft for our taste. Sorry, thats a bit nit picky.
The walk in shower is a bit run down and no extra bin bags, a pint of milk would have been good on arrival. Some washing up liquid to start you off would be good. Everything else is good location Is ace central and near a shop the house is great nice and quiet
Lovely property in convenient position Extremely clean and comfortable Welcome basket a nice touch

This is a nice house very well situated and comfortable. ..if a little tired in parts...by that we that mean the sofa cushions are flat and haven't been washed for some time...Also the dining chair covers needed washing...The oven tray was rusty and unusable as was the wok...they both need replacing...There were absolutely no instrucions inside or out regarding recycling and waste so we ended up bringing ours home and sorting it out which was a bit of a pain...These are just minor criticisms as the good far outweighs the bad in this house...We would definitely stay here again... Alnwick is a lovely town and the castle is spectacular...Another plus was the M&S food store and Turnbulls food store both within walking distance...Northumberland is absolutely beautiful and the people are very friendly...Nice lady next door. One piece of advice do purchase a National Trust membership if wanting to visit castles, stately homes and gardens andor English Heritage.
The thermostat for the heating needs replacing the temperature display is unreadable. Also, we were left a note asking us to put the the recycle bin out which we did but it was the wrong week and we could not find a general rubbish bin. The only bins present were the recycle, garden refuse and glass only. Apart from these issues I would definitely recommend Tearlach House as a great place to stay.

This is our second stay at this cottage. The cottage is spotlessly clean and comfortable. It is well equipped and has a small patio area at the back. It is in a quiet residential area, a short walk to Alnwick and shops. It is an ideal base for exploring Northumberland. We will definitely use this cottage again.
Lovely, clean house in a quiet, peaceful area walking distance from Alnwick town centre. The perfect base for our holiday. It has a pretty and well kept garden with outdoor seating, washing line facility and bird song in the mornings. There is so much to do in Northumberland, such a beautiful area of the country, we barely got through half of our list of places to go. We had an amazing week, will be returning!

Spotlessly clean cottage in a fantastic location. It's only a 10 minute walk to Barter books in Alnwick centre, and less than 5 mins walk to the leisure centre my boys enjoyed swimming there. It was a great base to explore the local area too. We would thoroughly recommend this cottage. The only things we'd suggest as other guests have mentioned would be for an extra bin bag to be provided, and a pint of milk or somemilk sachets be left so you can have a quick cuppa when you arrive. But this does not distract from what is a very comfortable and wellsituated house.
House was lovely and clean. Welcome pack was a nice surprise. Comfortable beds. Only drawback was a Friday 1730 start holiday, Travelling from Coventry it took us naerly 8 hours to get there. Roadworks didn't help but on a Friday afternoon people were finishing work which added more time to the journey. A Saturday start of holiday would be much better.
We had a lovely stay at Tearlach House. Everything was provided for us down to a lovely welcome hamper. House was lovely and clean and neighbours very friendly. Good location for everything in Alnwick. The Hogs Head pub nearby was a lovely pub with a nice childrens play area too. Thank you for a lovely stay!

The property was very clean, comfortable, and well equipped. There was a 20 minute walk into Alnwick which meant we could leave the car in the drive. The location was a quiet residential estate which suited us frown to the ground.
A really lovely, cozy property that is well looked after and comes with stylish furnishings. The kitchen was wellstocked with crockery and utensils, the beds were very comfortable with plenty of extra bedding, and hot water was always available. The area is quiet, but still only a short drive from the centre of Alnwick also very walkable and close to local amenities. Communication was always very fast, and the organiser was really helpful. I'd definitely stay again.
A clean, comfortable, well equipped house within easy walking distance of Alnwick. It was a perfect base for our family of four.
Nice, comfortable and clean house in a great location for places to visit in Northumberland. Plenty to see and do within walking distance in Alnwick and close to the A1 for trips further afield.
Barbara
Very clean, everything there and a very nice welcome basket, we could find no faults.

We had a very good weeks stay. The house was very comfortable, well equipped and spotlessly clean. In particular the beds were extremely comfortable. The house is in a very quiet position with a very good fish and chip shop and small Coop in walking distance and about a 20 minute walk to Alnwick centre.

Just returned from a lovely stay at Tearlach house, a beautifully comfortable home from home with all you could need. Ideally placed for exploring the coast, really comfy beds and sofa, lovely power shower too. Loved the bi fold doors in the living room and my daughter loved the soft toys in her room, lots of lovely added extras like tupperware for picnics, boot room porch to take off sandy shoes and a proper washing line came in very handy! The big American fridge freezer was an added bonus and we ordered a food shop to arrive on our first night. Ideally equipped to eat in and although small it provided everything we needed. Little things like providing dishwasher tablets ect were very much appreciated and a lovely welcome hamper greeted us. Thankyou for a lovely stay ! I think it would benefit from more storage but overall,
A fabulous holiday house, spotlessly clean and comfortable. Neighbours friendly and welcoming. Great location for exploring Northumberland coast & close to essential amenities. The house has everything a family needs, only recommendation with a young family would be a wipeable table cloth for the dining table. Overall we had a fantastic holiday, thank you.
Great house home from home and a great base to get everywhere easy. Garden is nice to sit out and listen to the birds very peaceful. Not to far from the town and a great chippy just down the road. Just a couple of negatives a pint of milk would have been nice and there was no bin liner in the bin in the kitchen but a great holiday had x
Nice cottage, well fitted kitchen, small but adequate with a decent fridge freezer combo a must have for our bookings as we like to do one big food shop Dining area bit on the tight side for four or five guests, would need to do a bit of furniture shifting. Beds are excellent, and the immediate neighbours and area are quite. All in all a nice billet .
Couldnt find any spare toilet rolls or washing powder. PIN number for Sky didnt appear to work so unable to watch selected TV programmes. However the house was spotless and welcoming. A nice welcome pack of bread and biscuits and crisps and wine. Thanks. A small bottle of milk would have been good too. I would prefer that to vinegar crisps. The back garden needed a tidy up. We couldnt work out how to turn down the heating and instructions would have been good. Overall a good review though. A nice warm cosy house in a great town near enough to the town centre but nice and quiet. A lovely holiday.

The property was as described and spotlessly clean. The welcome pack was a pleasant surprise and most enjoyable. The owner , was very helpful with a slight problem we had . I would recommend the property

Very clean. Welldecorated. Small but attractive enclosed garden. Quiet area a little out of Alnwick about 15 minutes walk. Generously equipped plenty of crockery and cutlery. Accommodating hosts. Maybe a little snug for five adults which we were but better weather would have opened up the garden for more use. Good price for the quality of the accommodation.
We found everything to be of a very good standard, the property was spotless, well located, of a good standard and ideal for exploring Northumberland.
Nice little touches like the welcome basket and flowers were appreciated. The TV had Sky, Netflix and Prime movies. The house was tastefully decorated and furnished and the garden space lovely. Everything you could want.
Both Anne, the house owner, and Andrea, the house manager, had this house maintained to a very high standard. Appliances were top quality such as Bosch and the very comfortable beds and bedding were too Bensons and Silentnight. The house also provided lots of really helpful extras kitchen roll, washing tablets, fairy liquid, dishwasher tablets, hairdryer, hose for washing down wetsuits! and we were treated to a welcome basket full of goodies too. We were a little disappointed due to the overdemand in this Covid year of staycations! to have had to book such a small house for our very grownup family of adultsized children but we found it perfect for our needs.

This is a nice modern house in a reasonable location in Alnwick. It is quite a walk into the centre, but car parking is free and plentiful. There is a retail park nearby which includes Sainsbury's and M&S Food Hall. The house is very well equipped in the kitchen with excellent electrical items. Although the garden is quite small, it is ideally positioned to enjoy the afternoonevening sunshine on the garden furniture provided. The bifold doors from the lounge work at extending the lounge space into the garden. There was a welcome hamper provided and a lovely vase of flowers for us to enjoy for our week there.
Couldn't fault the accommodation. Every last detail thought of right down to the welcome pack. Owners obviously take great pride in the quality of what they offer for the price. We can recommend this without reservation. Rich and Ann
