Summerseat is a lovely, quiet, spacious cottage with great views to the sea. The amenities are excellent and it is very well decorated, equipped and clean with loads of storage space in all the rooms. It has been very well thought out to cater for guests. We didnt have the weather to use the patio but that too is a great space. We could walk into Alnwick easily for shopping and we recommend the Playhouse, the Tanners and Mumbai restaurant. The driveway up to the parking space is steep but manageable and its possible to park on the road and use the personnel gate and garden path if needed. We comfortably stayed at Summerseats for 3 weeks waiting for our new home to complete and were almost sorry to leave and move into our new house!

Such a lovely place to come home to after exploring wonderful Northumberland. Theres so much to see, lovely places to eat, mighty castles and magnificent churches. Summerseats provided such comfort, very well equipped and beautifully designed. Couldnt have asked for anything more.

A beautifully decorated & an extremely well equipped spacious cottage. The uphill unmade track leading up to the well maintained parking area to the side of this hillside cottage detracts from the high standard of this accomodation and this shared access track could do with being improvedproperly tarmaced. Overall, it was an ideal base to explore Alnwick and the surrounding area in Northumbria.

Fab cottage in a great location. On quite a steep hill but as long as you've no mobility issues it was an easy 10 minute walk into town. Lots of heritage attractions within a 30 mile radius. Would highly recommend the cottage and area.

This is a fabulous cosy property with views of the sea it is peaceful, furnished to a very high standard and has everything you need for a wonderful stay. Its position just a ten minute walk to the centre of Alnwick also adds to the charm and appeal of this home. There is so much to do in this beautiful area, so we were busy all the time out and about exploring, and it was always a pleasure to return to summerseats cottage at the end of the day. We hope to return again very soon.

Beautiful clean cottage fully equipped. The only down point is the steep hill leading up to the cottage which is not tarmacked. The surface is very rough and stony. You need to take a good run at it and keep the revs up!

To summarise this was a perfect let both interns of the excellence of the property & its provisions with lots of space, very clean and decorated to a high standard. In addition the town of Alnwick was easily reached on foot & its close proximity to the A1 meant all the countys attractions were readily accessible.

We drove 400 miles to get to get to Summerseats cottage and to arrive at Hope House Farm after a long day travelling filled us with hope as we entered and observed such attention to detail, beautiful decor, so clean, modern with added touches like the welcome packs, books, games, the amenities we needed and ample parking. Lovely fire and a warm home and so inviting. Very thoughtful of you to leave parking permits that we used when parking in the area. Relaxing, peaceful, a place to enjoy calm and stillness, whilst situated in historic Alnwick, and many places of interest to explore. We will be recommending the cottage to our family and friends and look forward to stay again one day soon. Our stay has left us with cherished memories, happiness and joy. The cottage was furnished to an extremely high standard, and was in a lovely setting. We loved sitting on the patio, enjoying the peace and quiet around us. One wee suggestion, it might be helpful to have a mirror installed as you go out onto the road, as it's a completely blind corner. A very memorable week, thank you, it's truly a beautiful cottage.

The property is modern in a great location with lovely views and only 1015 minutes walk in to the town. A good base for visiting the local attractions, of which there are plenty to choose from! Good instructions upon arrival and beautifully clean. Only a couple of minor suggestions it would be nice to have hand soap in the bathrooms upon arrival we had only bought shower gels with us and a little more cutlery & crockery would allow for better use of the dishwasher. Overall a wonderful property and we would definitely recommend and look to stay again.

The only issue we observed was the steep gradient which must be negotiated to access the cottage. Not a problem for us, but those with mobility problems will find it difficult perhaps worth mentioning in the advertisment. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definately return.
