Weve had a wonderful week in Alnmouth and our stay in Schooner Court. Very well equipped holiday let. Have used Sykes cottages before and they have very high standards.

A lovely well appointed property in good condition which family enjoyed. Bedrooms a bit small but good to have ensuite as well as bathroom. Parking a bonus but a pity about the building site . Not owners fault but quite a bit of it in Alnmouth at the moment. Owner left a voucher for Hope and Anchor but they would not accept it. First time not for a carry out costing over 100 and then for a meal later in week for a bill of 200!! There were 8 of us. Can you let the owner know please.

This was lovely accommodation. It was clean, comfortable, spacious and well equipped. It was near the beach and we and our little dog had a lovely week. Thank you we hope to return.

A very comfortable property in a lovely small town. Extremely well equipped with high quality goods throughout. Ideally situated for enjoying walks and the local eating and drinking establishments. The property is also ideal for two couples as the internal layout has been very well planned.

This property is superb We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Schooner Court No2. This property is perfectly situated in Alnmouth and has parking for 1 car which is essential as it is a very popular location. There is everything in this property that you will need to enjoy your holiday it is clean and comfortable. We can highly recommend it and I also want to give a big thank you to Tim and his wife for being so generous in letting us stay a little longer to avoid the travel chaos due to the snow.

Very nicely finished and furnished. Fully equipped. Comfortable. the off road parking is only okay for a very small car. I have about the shortest car you can own and when the back tyres were at the curb, the front of the car still over hung into the lane. It would be impossible to park a large car

We have stayed at this property several times. It is a modern, clean, well equipped spacious ground floor apartment. It is close to the beaches and to the village centre with its shops, pubs and other amenities. As Alnmouth is a busy and popular holiday village the dedicated car parking space is a huge bonus. It is an ideal base for exploring the village and the Northumberland Coast.

I would just like to reiterate what I sent earlier in the week, actually during our stay. We were really pleased with No.2 Schooner Court all round and would like to rebook for the same week next year. As regular customers, you'll be aware of our disappointment with Sandpiper last year and subsequent change to Schooner Court, but we are so pleased we did. Despite the building works not being quite finished, the apartment was spotless, finished to an excellent standard, had everything we needed and is far more spacious than anticipated. We have already decided we would very much like to book for the same week next year please I.e. Spring Bank Holiday week in May. I assume the office here is now permanently closed so was hoping we could reserve initially via here. Please pass on our comments to the owner. Thanks Nicole.

Lovely cottage best equipped kitchen I have ever seen! ! Despite the building work opposite we had a lovely week the builders were friendly and cheerful and seeing my partner was disabled often offered to help. Everything was bright and clean and we would come again.

Well positioned and with its own parking space was ideal. The accommodation was clean, tidy, and in good condition throughout with ample furniture, appliances, and kitchen needs. Separate bathroom and ensure added to a comfortable stay. We all had wonderful holiday and are looking at booking again for next year.

Perfect for us as we were holidaying with my elderly mother and dog so the ground level apartment provided very easy access and was also close to all village amenities and beach. Very well equipped and comfortable apartment and we had a very enjoyable stay.

Whilst the cottage was comfortable and well equipped, the cleanliness could be very much improved. A good base to explore the area. The builders working in the area were considerate and posed no problems during our stay. Disappointed with the lack of local eateries, which were mostly closed or only opened on specific days.

Hi We have just returned from our ,supposed to be restful holiday. Your statement in the email below Whilst we don't envisage this causing you any disruption it does look unsightly Well it did cause us disruption every day. At 0750 the builders came on site and turned the generators on, which was less than 20 feet from the front door of Schooner 1, this was a constant annoyance not to mention the diesel fumes from the exhaust which meant we had to have the windows shut during the day. There was also constant movement of plant equipment lifting pallets of bricks etc causing noise and the general noise caused by 15 men working. Some days we couldnt even get out of the front door due to delivery lorries , with cranes , lifting pallets of blocks and wood blocking the drive and so close to our car. We also have to keep the curtains of the only window of the flats living room closed as builders walked past and looked in so not very relaxing at all. We feel that no one should be staying in the property at this time and that Northumbria Cottages misrepresented the closeness and the amount of construction work going on , not to mention the health and safety aspects . If you had been honest about the times of the disruption and the closeness we would have never booked.

The location and Alnmouth beach is stunning and we spent much time locally on the beach and in the village. The village is quaint with some lovely friendly cafes and restaurants. We thoroughly enjoyed a meal at the Hope and Anchor. Alnwick Castle was spectacular to visit and was a huge hit for the children with all the activities. We loved Bamburgh Castle as well.

We really enjoyed our stay. The flat was impeccably clean and easy to keep tidy, enough space to move around in the kitchendining area, which was important because one of our party was in need of a walking aid. Kitchen equipment was excellent, so was the furniture in all the rooms. We also enjoyed the large collection of DVDs and books. The two separate bathrooms were better than expected. Very quiet location.

This apartment certainly has the &39wow&39 factor in every way. The overall layout and furnishings make for a very comfortable stay. Absolutely everything you need for a perfect break can be found in this property. Two showers and toilets, a generously sized kitchen, and a very comfy spacious living room.
