Hardys House Reviews

Matthew
Great place, very well equipped. Shower is super, especially once we worked out how to get the rainy head going. Got an airlock once with the loo flushing, but ran the sink for 30 seconds and it cleared. Sad loss of the crab shell and ancient 1980's cookery book though! Settees were well comfy. The mirror light in the bathroom is magic, love that. The little landing light torch things were really useful too. Telly Firestick tech was appreciated but barely used for exotic viewing the kids tucked into Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares routinely. Parking was impossible directly outside the house, but we were fine fitting in elsewhere on the street you'd have to be driving a smart car to squeeze in now that the other two houses have cars. On the whole a brilliant break, and we'd definitely look to come back
We felt so at home! The kitchen is wellstocked and every room was comfortable, bright, and clean. We could not fit our car into the private space you'd really need a small Fiat to fit, but we found parking just midway down the street. Close to everything in town and felt like home away from home.

My friend and I had a great stay in Alnwick. The parking was a challenge, but apart from that, the cottage more than met our expectations. The bathroom is really good, the large shower was an absolute pleasure!! You cant fault the location which enhanced our trip immensely. Thank you!!
The decor was very tired. The patiogarden was shabby & in need of a good clean.
This lovely cottage was situated in a quiet culdesac perfectly located for walks around Alnwick and exploring the wider region of Northumbria. Although we could not park directly outside the house as the space left was a little too small, there was plenty of free spaces within a minute walk. The cottage itself looked to have been recently updated and was very homely and comfortable with everything we needed for our stay. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit.
We had a great time, the cottage is very nice and the location is perfect. The only issue we had is with the dishwasher. The top drawer is broken one of the wheels had previously fallen off. The washing process then failed and some of the dishes were left dirty in the cupboard when we arrived

Cottage very well equipped and comfortable. We did have a problem with the central heating but the owner advised us what to do. The only real problem was parking there is an allocated parking space but this is really small and although we don't have a big car a Picasso we wouldn't use the space. We did however were able to find a place in the street tho it did make u a bit anxious about getting back. There was a long stay car park nearby which we didn't investigate if you need a permit for this would be a help if one provided. Otherwise house fine and we had a good break

Great little place for a family get away. Great location for family dog walks and sight seeing. Would 100 recommend.
Lovely cottage and well positioned for touring the area
Elaine
Lovely homely and comfortable property, thank you. Well equipped and well located, we couldn't really fault it. Firesticks were a great addition for bad weather days. Pub on the corner is very friendly. Definitely felt like a home away from home. If we had one tiny suggestion it would be that a little patch of grass in the yard would be really useful for dogs to wee on, or info as to the nearest grassy patch. Our poor doggo isn't used to concrete! This is a minor issue though and we'd happily stay here again.

Pictures dont do it justice, fantastic property
Joanne
Fantastic cottage, right in centre of alnwick. Unfortunately we had to come home a day early due to our elderly dog not being able to settle. Definitely come back in the future and book this cottage no complaints
Very impressed with this well equipped and cosy town house. It had everything we needed, in an ex cellent location. New heating system guaranteed us a warm welcome after days out in and around Alnwick. Peaceful evenings and yet in the heart of town, it was a perfect place for a family holiday. Will definitely be back!
Great property. A little old fashioned, but in a good way. Keeps in character with Alnwick. Location is perfect for strolls into Alnwick to visit the bars, pubs and restaurants. Alnmouth beach is only a 10 minute drive away and other great beaches 2025 mins away. Plenty of space and the property had everything we needed. Only a very small rear yard but when you are out and about all day this doesn't really matter. We will definitely consider booking here again next summer.

We really enjoyed our stay here. Very homely, clean and great location.
We had a lovely stay, thank you! The heating problems meant we were a bit cold at times but the owner was very helpful and attentive.

Lovely property home from home, beds really comfortable, everything was there to make us feel at home, I would recommend this to anyone.
The house was delightful, very comfortable and so clean. Photos online do not do it justice! Everything needed for a special birthday family holiday. Location excellent for a walk into Alnwick which offers many delicious eating opportunities. Also to easily access northumbrian coast and country.
