Garden House Reviews

Alison
Wow what a great place, its a lot bigger than the pictures make out. Great location too. My son even tried to book it again while we were there. Only thing I would say is we had no logs to do the fire, we had to go and get some.
Our mixed group once again enjoyed the flexibility this house has to offer. We were disappointed to find the EV charger was still not working for one of our group a year after flagging it up last year. We would suggest that the house information book be updated, as the phone number listed to report a problem is only for bookings, and there are no instructions for the EV charger. All that said, we have booked again for another year.
The property was perfect lots of room for a large family they have thought of everything would definitely stay again everything a stones throw away it's a beautiful house a great time had by all . Well worth the money we paid to stay for the week

I am 85 years old and have been to the Garden house four or five times. It is kept in great decorative order and I cannot fault the cleanliness but I do miss a hand rail up the staircases in the house as I am not very good at climbing stairs and cannot do this without one of the family being with me. Perhaps you could give me your thoughts on this. Sheila Muff
Amazing location beautiful views. Modern and homely decor . Suitable for families or group of friends .
Excellent stay accommodating our mixed group. Well equipped kitchen, only drawback was kitchen table only seated eight. Livingroom easily big enough for us all. Comfortable beds and the house was nice and warm. Unfortunately the EV charger wasn't working for one of our group and we couldn't find any instructions for it. They were able to find a charging unit in a local car park. We would certainly return as the house suited all our needs and was well located for restaurants, and great walks from the house.

Absolutely delighted with Garden House. ...photos do not do it justice. Everything was top notch and high spec....the whole family had the best stay...great location too...can't wait to return.

Always enjoy our visits to this property. Well appointed. All facilities work and any issues which have arisen have been swiftly dealt with. Thank you.
Beautiful house. Fantastic weekend with the family. Thank you. Tried to book again but fully booked and not surprising.
Richard
Garden House was a brilliant place to stay spacious, well equipped and with beautiful views. We enjoyed the pool table too! Thank you we thoroughly enjoyed our holiday.
Darren
Great house thanks. Very convenient for Ambleside and the lake. Tried a few local pubs, there are many. Didn't really use the games room. A coffee machine would be nice EG Nespresso We were cycling and there isn't anywhere to store bikes so we loaded in our van each night. Not a complaint as such just a note to other cyclists.
Lovely house in a great position. Great view from the main room. Wellstocked. Small points we never really got the heating to work properly in the bedroom area off the games room. The garden is not really appropriate for small children as it is not enclosed and all steps. Nice place for a bbq though!
We have been visiting this property for many years & had a very enjoyable holiday.
We had a lovely stay at Garden House over New Year. Great views from the balcony of the NYE fireworks. Rubbish had piled up outside but we phoned and this was sorted same day. We only used one bedroom as only two of us, very comfortable and lovely bathrooms. The playroom and downstairs bedroom were very cold but as not used wasnt a problem for us. So close to centre but also very quiet. Saw the deer in the front garden. Will definitely return and recommend to others
Barbara
Garden House was warm clean and comfortable. Kitchen was well equipped. Might be an idea to get rid of mat in kitchen as end had turned up and three of us tripped on it. First bedroom on left coming down stairs double twin room not enough hooks on curtain looks a bit scruffy. Bathrooms and showers excellent. We loved it.
Sharon
The best house to rent in Ambleside for 2 families. We thought the bathroom updates were great and always find it a comfortable homely space. Already booked for next year
First class holiday accommodation in a great location. We really couldn't have wished for anything more.
Everything was good although found a couple of high cobwebs I would ... Everything was good although found a couple of high cobwebs I would definitely recommend one confusion bins collected on Thursday but told to put bins out on Tuesday a brilliant holiday and would use again
This is our second visit to Garden House. Yet again we had a lovely holiday with our extended family. Plenty of room for two families. Everything we could possibly need for our stay. Good well equipped kitchen. Beautiful evenings spent sat on the balcony with a glass of wine enjoying the views. Looking forward to returning next year
Lovely property, fabulous for our requirements. Brilliant to have some outside space. Inside all lovely.
