2nd stay at this property. Cant fault it. Comfy beds, great new shower room and lovely kitchenlounge area.
This was our third stay in this apartment and when we walked through the door it felt as if we were coming home. It looked as though it had been recently decorated throughout, and was spotlessly clean. It is centrally located to shops, cafes, bars and restaurants and Alnwick Garden castle closed in winter. We couldn't find the visitor book to leave our comments for others to read. We very much hope to return.

DFC was warm, comfortable and spotlessly clean. There were lovely touches like the tea tray laid for our arrival with pot, tea and biscuits and milk in the fridge. Toiletries and slippers greeted us in the bedroom. Everything you could need had been thought of and provided from cooking pots the right size for two people to hot water bottles and woollen throws. The apartment is well situated by the castle and within minutes of shops, cafes and pubs. I heard back speedily when I enquired about putting out the wheelie bin though not when I advised about our slightly early departure to avoid bad weather conditions going home. My only niggle, and it's minor, is that I felt there were one or two instructions too many. Though we followed them all to the letter!

An absolutely lovely property. Very well situated in the town. It was well equipped and the welcome package was very welcome. Its close enough to excellent bars and cafes, supermarkets etc. It was very clean, the beds are beautifully comfy and warm. All in all for access and comfort this is one of the best properties we have stayed in.
The owner was helpful and called me back to give the information requested. The house was very conveniently situated for the town and castle, being part of a C18th historic building. The interior was recently refurbished to a good standard that maintained the old feel but with all modern conveniences. The furnishings very comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped and neatly organised to maximise the space.

On arrival was delighted to find a quaint well equipped cottage, once we had unpacked we found our feet and was surprised how convenient to all the local amenities we were . I would recommend dorothy forster cottage to anyone it was a lovely place to come back to after a day exploring.

The cottage was well equipped and comfortable. It is in a central position and the parking was a bonus.
The property was exactly as described and very comfortable, with everything we needed for a wonderful stay. The location was great too, right in the heart of Alnwick, with even parking nearby taken care of. The only slight disturbance we encountered was from the upstairs property, where we could hear noises from time to time. This is the nature of the building we imagine.

Gorgeous period apartment, beautifully presented, very clean and very comfortable. Cose to the castle and the high street and in easy walking distance of other attractions. Excellent pubrestaurant within 14 of a mile the Dirty Bottles well worth a visit. This was our second visit this year and won't be our last. Can highly recommend this accommodation.
Not a reflection on the property but parking in Alnwick can cause minor inconvenience and for that reason only I would have preferred to have chosen a property with parking. That said the permit provided worked.
Really lovely property, felt totally at home from the moment we walked in. Very well situated for exploring Alnwick and surrounding area. The only criticism is that the shower room is a bit tight, specially for the larger person, which we are, also the step up into the shower is very high, could possibly do with a grab handle. I love staying at Dorothy Forster Court. It's so central to all the amenities Alnwick has to offer. It's like home from home. Will be back some time in the future.
We had a lovely stay in this property which is perfectly situated for Alnwick and surrounding area. The property was exactly as described, clean and well equipped. The welcome packs were a nice touch. Parking was not an issue, thank you for the permit. We always found a space close by. Alnwick is a perfect base for exploring the local area and with this property being centrally located is was so easy to stock up on food or eat out. The beds are very comfy, we got a great night's sleep.

The bedroom was a delight, beds very comfortable but the curtains, although they looked lovely could really have done with a blackout lining, waking at 4. 00 a.m. is not my idea of a good night's sleep. Parking was a major problem for me, the 50 yards quote rarely happened if we returned before 6.00 p.m. but this was on bank holiday. Other than these we had a fab stay in a beautiful cottage. These things might not bother anyone else.

A well presented property that the owner clearly takes pride in. Very clean and beds very comfortable we slept very well. Well resourced with good TV and kitchen equipment etc. Quiet location even though it is in the centre of Alnwick. Close to good restaurants and a couple of friendly bars. Particularly close to the entrance to the castle. Very good free residents parking nearby, with spaces always available. Well positioned for exploring Northumberland, being close to Craster, Alnmouth, Boulmer, Embleton, Howick, etc. M&S food hall not far away!

This cottage was lovely through out. Couldnt fault a thing. Seats and beds very comfortable. Very little outside noise even though its on the road and there was plenty parking spaces 50 mtrs away. Def recommend it and def go back

My wife and I loved the house, its location and accessibility to old Alnwick. Our main concern was parking but as it turned out, not a problem as we could always find a spot for the night between the castle entrance and the Bailiffgate museum. The fridge has not been fixed no freezer, no door handle so had to prise it open with fingers. Other than that everything was OK, even the misfitting doors! Bathroom a bit tight but OK. Beds very comfortable. Overall, very clean. We will certainly return.

Lovely place. Well appointed. Comfortable, except beds weren't particularly so. Duvets left us slightly cold heating was off overnight. A double rather than two singles would also be an improvement.
A perfect apartment for two. Has everything you need and in a great location.
Everything needed in the cottage for your needs. On arriving we experienced 3 days of diy above including hammering, drilling and moving furniture not a good start. After the weekend the noise upstairs wasnt to bad but definitely not creaky floorboards. Note the step up to the shower is high and difficult for my husband with mobility problems.
