We have stayed here several times so that speaks for itself. We have also booked again for another stay.

Pleasant property. Very central. Everything provided that we needed. Stairs quite steep but good handrails. Great area for the dogs. It would benefit from some small side tables. Owner on hand to sort out any problems.
Lovely cottage. Wonderfuly placed for touring the surrounding area.and of course a great garden for dogs to run around in.
Our 4th stay at this traditional farmhouse cottage! ! It is in an ideal location for exploring the local area with great walks directly out of the cottage as well as short drives to fantastic beachesvillages!! It is basic and simplistic but extremely dog friendly!! It is dated not modern but comfortable! We cooked in every evening and the oven does work using the instructions in the visitors book. After long walks we enjoyed soaks in the bath. It is value for money in this area and we will be back! Please sort the back door tho, just needs adjusting slightly and small knife in kitchen
Property is clean and comfortable, but the bathroom is sadly lacking. The shower is very low pressure, and the room itself is very small. That was the only negative, and the lovely garden goes some way to make up for it. Ruby the Labrador gives it the thumbs up! The location is superb, close to Alnmouth, Warkworth and Boulmer beaches for dog walking as well as the countryside at the back of the cottage.
The Cottage was clean and tidy, although a bit dated on the furniture but quaint and tidy. Shower pressure is a bit poor but not unmanageable. The garden was well kept and the view if the sheep & pig in the field opposite was a nice bonus x The listing did not state the cottage and garden face onto the road through Bilton whilst this was not a problem the odd tractor or Combi did go past and was quite loud when sat in the garden i can imaging it would be more annoying in peak times. The beds were super comfy and the storage heaters kept us toasty warm during the very chilly nights we had this week x An upstairs loo for those late night calls of nature would be an added benefit get rid if the small bed in the main room and add a loo Overall we had a wonderful stay and did not have any issues or concerns the milk & biscuits we received on arrival was a welcome touch after a 6h drive x Thank you for hosting us x
I have stayed here on a number of occasions going back 20 years and always enjoy it. A great base for the family to go out exploring and it's lovely to have the garden to sit out in at the end of the day ...
We had a lovely relaxing stay. Great garden for the dogs and to eat Al fresco in the summer. Very comfortable bed too. Please don't publish this .... Does the bathroom have a leak, behind the loo ?
We have visited the cottage several times, which shows how much we enjoy it.
Lovely little cottage ideal for our break with our 2 dogs. Cottage had everything we needed to cater for ourselves. Lovely big secure garden for the dogs, which was great. Situated well for exploring Northumberland.

Property fine. No problems with the stairs they are steep but so are a lot of old properties, and these ones have a non slip surface. We could have done with a coffee table in front of the settee for evening drinks etc. With a dog you can't put drinks on the floor. Listing perhaps needs to say that good parking is reserved for you opposite the farm buildings, less than 50 metres away
Cooker was poor and took a long time to warm anything up. The shower whilst it heated the water well it had very poor power, to the point where my wife had to take an hour to rinse her hair. This could be rectified with a new modern shower head for around 25. The TV signal kept dropping out to the point where we watched streaming only. Also as a health and safety professional, I would recommend covering the stairs in carpet to give more sure footing.

A lovely homely but spacious cottage, great outdoor space. The kitchen had fab work space for cooking often quite rare in cottages! and was extremely well equipped. Milk in fridge on arrival most welcome! One small thing maybe some cushions in sitting room , as arm chairs and sofa very deep and used spare pillows for extra back support! Had a fantastic stay in your lovely cottage, thank you!
Amanda
A lively quaint, basic cottage, just right for a quiet getaway. Our dog loved the garden. The only negatives was the toilet being downstairs so when we needed to get up in the night the creaky floorboards kept waking the dog up. Also, the main oven didn't work so we could only use the small top oven which was not ideal for cooking for 4 of us. Meant eating out a bit more. Other than that we enjoyed our holiday, so much to see and do so I'm sure we'll be back.
Great little cottage tucked away near the coast and the little town of Alnmouth. Well equipped bonus points for a good sized teapot!! and clean with comfy beds, plenty of room downstairs and in the enclosed garden great for the dog the cottage was ideally situated to explore coastal and inland attractions as well as not being too far from amenities. The low beams could be an issue for some, although the signs were helpful reminders. The armchairssettee are quite deep and perhaps the addition of some colourful cushions would make it more homely and comfy. The weather was a bit mixed and quite cool on arrival so sadly we needed some heating but once we'd worked out the storage heaters it was very cosy. Overall we enjoyed our stay and the area is beautiful.
Our 3rd stay here, its a lovely cosy, well equipped cottage, an excellent base for exploring the Northumberland coastline and is dog friendly with a fantastic enclosed garden. The neighbours are all friendly and we walked twice directly out of the cottage, once across to Wooden and then down to Warkworth beach and the other on a circular country walk towards Alnwick under the viaduct passing Bilton mill and by the river seeing deer, hares, leverets.
Our 2nd stay at this cosy , dog friendly cottage
Elizabeth
The cottage was very pleasant and met our needs especially with our 2 dogs. We thought it would even more so in the summer. The garden was great. It is very well positioned for walking from the door or exploring further afield in the car. We all loved the beaches!
Angela
Lovely cottage in a great location for walking and cycling or for some peace and quiet. Lovely fresh eggs available to buy each day. Cottage had everything we needed and was clean and comfortable, garden was totally enclosed by a large fence so excellent for our 2 dogs!
Wonderful cottage in an absolutely perfect location, the garden was fantastic for our dog to run around in as it was enclosed so he couldnt escape! The furniture could do with a bit of an up cycle as it was very dated and dusty, nothing that a lick of paint wouldnt solve though, other than that there was everything you need for a staycation and we would happily return
Amanda
Basic but spacious and comfortable cottage representing good value for money. Spotlessly clean when we arrived. Some of the equipment is a little dated but all electrical items were PAT tested and everything was in good working order. Fabulous location really quiet, allocated parking space. Just a couple of miles from beautiful beaches and only three or four miles from Alnwick with some good cycle tracks in the local area. Not the fanciest decor but realistically priced. Would happily stay here again.
Richard
It would be helpful to put in the description that the stairs are both VERY steep with shallow treads. The stairs are not the old wood ones but laminate and can be slippery.
Jonathan
Fantastic cottage. Perfect for pooches. Loads of local walks.
The cottage had everything we needed. Large garden for the dogs and garden furniture to sit out with a glass of wine in the evening. Parking for the car. There wasn&39t anything the owners hadn&39t thought of. Except a chopping board which seems to get mentioned in other reviews had to find something that wasn&39t perfect. Would definitely recommend this cottage.
A lovely little cottage that has all the things you need for a base to explore beautiful Northumberland.
Lovely cottage, spacious rooms. Very clean. Everything worked and was in good condition appliances etc. Amazing garden large and enclosed, so perfect for children. We stayed with our baby and toddler and it was ideal, everything we needed and a very comfortable cottage. Lovely touches on arrival milk in the fridge and shortbread biscuits left for us. Also beautiful Emma Bridgewater crockery which was a lovely surprise. Comfortable beds. Well equipped kitchen. Owner really helpful kettle broke one evening and she brought a new one round straightaway. Friendly neighbours too. We had a lovely week here and will definitely be back. Can&rsquot recommend it enough! Thank you very much
Nice location, comfortable cottage, easy to find, good location. Keeps cool in summer. Well equipped. Lovely enclosed garden.
Lovely quiet cottage small kitchen but well equipped.
Cosy cottage in a good location. Lovely big lawned garden which is secure for dogs. Only a couple of miles from Alnmouth beach. Plenty of places to visit not too far away by car. All in all a very nice weeks stay, the weather was good, so that made it even better.
Lovely large garden for the dogs. Cottage very cosy and comfortable.
Lovely property for a short break, five minutes walk from the main line station. Large south facing garden for relaxing in the evening. Overall we had a good stay, the beach at Alnmouth is fabulous as are the other beaches along the coast. So much to do in the county.
